Why do MF only let me book one job at a time? They had more in my area I could've taken, very annoying! Once you've got more points are you able to book more?

Are you still on probation with them? I think they limit you for your first job until it's marked. Otherwise give them a ring.

Well the numbers are a bit different in my case, due to the fact that my pay has been increased a bit and the fact that I won't be taking a car on this trip. So here is what the numbers look like now:
    Income: £718
Purchases I need to make: £5
Actual cost of travel and overnight stays: £158
Income after expenses: £555 or £185 per day (not taking deductions into account).

As an added bonus I will be able to also do a bit of work that relates to my regular job while travelling.

To me mystery shopping has proven the perfect way to put a little extra spice into my workdays which I already plan myself.

TBH, those figures sound pretty good, enjoy and make the most of it while you can :)

I can't remember how many points you need but, once you've done more work with them, you can certainly book more than one job with them.

Do the jobs disappear off the board? Some assignments you can only do one each round regardless of how many are in your local area.

I've just had that happen to the H&B jobs. Always apply for the closest job first just in case it only allows you to do only one.

I think I had to do 5 jobs before I was allowed to take more than 1 on. It says in the help section somewhere.

Also I think they restrict you so if you have shopped a location once, it does not appear in your view. (Not sure how long you are restricted for). I have done a shop and when they can't find anyone they email out and put the shop back into your view if you request it.

Ah right, thanks I applied for 2 directly behind each other, doesn't really say if they pay for return fares or not, so I applied for 2 thinking it was to be assessed only one way, only roughly read the brief! eek.

Just reread the brief and it does say they reimburse fares upon receipt doh! my bad.

Yeah but I agree that it's worth taking the HMRC allowance into your calcuations as to whether a job is worth taking. If you can make a "profit" after taking mileage into account you know it's a good bet.

It's all very well working with the HMRC numbers but not very useful when taking fixed costs in to account when deciding if you should take a job or not
