I'd tick buybacks in general off you're list too then, as its the same for every company regarding storage. And you say paltry fee but calculate the effort in minutes for doing it and reporting vs mf fee and report and many other companies and they are not too bad At all., esp if you get to keep the product, which you usually can.

Just had a brilliant 'trip' suggested to allow me to take advantage of the bonus offer on doing several phone shops in one go, one of the locations is a 5 hour round trip on its own, with the others at least an hour away from me in the opposite direction!!

Sadly my time machine is in for repairs currently so I won't be able to take them up on their generous offer

I've done a couple of buyback assignments and found them absolutely spot on. I appreciate you have to store the product until you're told what to do with it but, as Whitelabel said, you sometimes get to keep the product

Yeah the fee can be small, so it helps if you can cover a number of supermarkets in a small catchment area. My last buyback saw me visit 7 stores, twice. I think I've spent more time completing two TNS phone reports than I did in all these stores put together.

Has anyone else noticed that despite MF's generous offer of a prize draw to get your eyes tested it appears the jobs are still hanging around?!?
And btw sorry for my naïvet! but what are buy backs?

New to the forum, new to this thread and new to MS'ing!

I had a really thorough read of this thread, signed up with most of the agencies on the front page and have completed a few assignments already. Only the long wait to make sure I get paid now!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice here. Fitting the occasional MS in and around my full-time job where pay has been frozen for 3 years now. With the ever rising cost of living, the opportunity to top up a little here and there is a potential godsend.

Why did you bother taking the job, knowing the spec? Let someone without issues take them.

I'd be inclined to wait a week or so and see if this thread is full of people moaning about how the jobs are a nightmare and the software never works.
