Early neutering in ferals (from 6-7 weeks) has been commonplace for more than a decade now.

    From... http://www.bva.co.uk/activity_and_advice/Neuteringcatsanddogs.aspx
In line with the position of the BSAVA, the BVA recommends that pet cats are neutered from 16 weeks. In the case of feral and rescue kittens it may be necessary to neuter earlier than 16 weeks (due to the age of trapping); therefore in these circumstances, neutering at 8-12 weeks is considered safe and appropriate compared with the harm for non-neutering.

Wonderful, wonderful news :j What a turn around!

I reckon you should be a United Nations negotiator KTFlosspot :-)

I bet you could sell tickets to the homecoming. People will be making pilgrimages to visit the cats. Ha Ha.

I can't wait to see pictures of the outside lodge and all the family back together again. I wonder whether they'll recognise each other.

    Well done KTFlosspot. Great job.

  • I may have got the neutering thing wrong guys !
    From CPL site

All our cats/kittens available for re-homing are:

    • Neutered (applies also to kittens over 5/6 months)
    • Fully health-checked
    • Micro-chipped
    • Vaccinated
    • Insured (free) for four weeks with Pet Plan
    • Fully flea and worm treated
So maybe we have to do the neutering at 5/6 months , not sure , will check, it isn't a problem though for us x

Mama is now back sleeping in the old Morris Minor and not her luxury pad , she's a funny one but lovely , not as hissy now but def not tame either , tho she will meow at front door if she hasn't been fed on time !
