  • Rowan Tree sounds like you will be near Dusty country tomorrow but I'll be in The Office territory. Enjoy your day.

HHC at 8pm anybody for last orders.

Thanks, Dusty. If the weather stays nice we are picnicking in the park for lunch - but I've looked again at the map and think I'll be a squit nearer to Lamewolf land. So, LW, any chance of passing any picknickers you might see some of your yummy sounding chocolate mousse?!!

Just dashing to join you in a HHC. I've now eaten my meal and will wash up and tidy kitchen again (can you see I'm determined to have nothing to do in the morning before I leave!).

TTFN, see you all in a couple of days, R x

Bonnie could you write DS a letter explaining that you don't like to ask for help but need it sometimes? Of you have to pay for things to be done you could intimate that something else would be cancelled, sky tv? Phone contract, etc? I hope your expected monies arrive soon.

Good idea re the letter, thank you. He pays for his own PAYG mobile and we don't have sky tv - I have nothing to bargain with!!

I have cheered myself up by buying a little pressie for T and a little pressie for H (for birthdays coming up in the next week). I like buying presents - especially if I don't spend much and get a lot :money: I've also put lots of lovely items of silver jewellery in an online basket; I'll delete it all later but it's been fun ;)

    Unremembered item on draining board
Does anyone else not trust something on the 'clean' side of the draining board that they've not washed up themselves??

  • Really pleased with the start of my new flylady ways!

Up early, did a bit before work and the rest when I got home.

DD1 had cooked tea( bless her), bossed DD2 and DS to clear away, dog walked and just stopping for a cuppa.

Weather not too bad tomorrow so will put a wash on and hang out before work.

On 2 weeks leave from tomorrow night, yippee! Lots of days out planned but also lots of flying.

    See you soon x

Hiya! Well done to your DD1! You sound like you are well organised!! My best tip of all is to spend even a little time 'putting the house to bed' at night - wash up or stock DW, tidy lounge, remove rubbish etc, get any bits ready for the next day - if needed, eg paperwork or money etc, and it's amazing how it helps to wake up to a tidy - ish home.

Enjoy your leave - I hope the sunshine lasts, R x

    Today I have:
    Washed pots.
WM on, out on the line, back in and sat waiting to be folded.
    DD's bed remade .
    Replaced dead lightbulbs.
Emptied the utility room of WM, TD, FF, mops, buckets, ironing board, washing baskets, wellies, brushes - no mean feat!
    Deck-scrubbed (properly) with bleach.
Put all white goods back in.
Helped OH at his place of work for 7 hours painting, cutting in, white-spiriting 3 rooms and lugging office furniture and sofas about.
Had a cheeky Peroni in the beer garden next door.

Just come back from OH's work and simply cannot face putting the Utility back together tonight so the kitchen is a bombsite. OH said he and the kids will do it for me whilst I'm at work tomorrow. It's the least he can do after all the graft I have done for him today.

Aw bless, DS has just come upstairs with a very chilled Sauv Blanc, given me a kiss and told me he loves me. He's 12 now so I am cherishing these opportunities as they may no last much longer. On the other hand, what does he want? :rotfl:

Other than a hot bath and lots of handcream, there will be little else for me to report until the weekend.

Hugs and spoons for those in need - help yourselves xx

According to MSN I am in Milton Keynes too

IRL I am in Northampton. One cat has pooed in the bath...DS has, apparentl, decided to bleach the bath. I have given DD instructions on cooking - which she planned to start after she finished the ironing. My mother has had ANOTHER moan at her...*insert cross face*
Apparently my other sister said somethign to her so DD has been subjected to tale telling - from a 70-odd YO !!!!!!

I am nothing short of disgusted. If my other sister has said somethin g mother could have left it; or told her not to be unpleasant or maybe nothing was said and this is mother's way of telling DD somthing.

I have cleaned out a cupboard for my sister *fling* and wiped it *gleam* and been to Naseby and we visited Lamport Hall.

I'm stopping now. I think I've done what counts as a full day's work. There's a drop of rain forecast so I've got all the washing in and I'm just tumbling the last load I don't want cluttering up the place in addition to the stuff I've got draped all over the kitchen. The rest of the catering gibble has made it into a stack of boxes in the kitchen and I should be able to get through those tomorrow. Then a pile of pillows and duvets needs to be sorted, and the cottage needs to be cleaned. And the chalet changed over on Saturday. And then I can clean this house.

Mrs Dog's urine infection has cleared up after a week of treatment and the vet and I think that she should have a GA so that she can have dental xray - her breath is truly, truly revolting. I know she had seven extractions while she was in rescue, but as they failed to pick up her skin condition and as I strongly suspect the plumbing infection is of very long standing, I don't trust that they actually dealt with everything that should have been done in her gob. She doesn't like being pulled and pushed and seems to find it very frightening, so the few glimpses I've had of her teef have been rather fleeting but they look pretty grim to me. So, another vet bill to declutter from my bank account.
    Better is good enough.
