    People, need some help here

Currently got 2 lines with voda and all was good until 1 line came up for early upgrade

What im paying currently - unltd mins, unltd text, 3gb data - £10.20

now their saying as of a few months ago and commerical rules they cannot discount any sim only contracts any further, i found that a bit weird as the best deal she could offer was 4gb for £12.50

Any deals you lot have recieved recently from voda or any other companies?

Just renewed one of our two SIM only deals today via Retentions. Unlimited minutes and texts with 2gb data, which is the package we had before, for £10.80. Also now includes some inclusive use in Europe.

Very straightforward, no mention of what they told you.

    Hope this helps.

  • hi all
im so confused! i have read as much as i can in here but i just need a bit of advice.
i have given my 10 year old an old iphone 4s and is currently on 3 network with the 321 sim.
he hardly ever uses it as it is just for contact when he is at friends but tends to use wifi when ever he can but lately he has been playing pokemon go when we are out and about which seems to be hammering the data.
any advice on the best sim?
i have been trying to read the comments but there are so many!
    thanks for reading.
    mmmm free stufffffffff :p

A good idea to get the coverage maps out for the areas your son visits most frequently as that will be the biggest factor in determining which network will work out best. No point being on the cheapest tariff if you can't get a signal.

When you've found the ones you deem acceptable please post back the networks that work for you and we can advise on the best deals. Thanks.

Try Tello (runs off the Three network) you can build a package that would best suit your son, for example not many minutes or texts but lots of data. 3gb data, 100 mins and 100 texts for £9.50 a month.

If you need more take a look at Giffgaffs (runs off the o2 network) goodybags. £18 gets you a generous 6gb of data, unlimited texts and 2000 minutes. £15 gets you 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 4gb data.

If your son is hammering data but it goes up and down Tesco mobiles (runs off the O2 network) "Triple your credit" tariff may be suitable. For example top up £10 and get £30 credit to use for the rest of the month. Don't forget you can earn club card points.

If you are willing to commit to a 30 day contract you have more options. These seem to be the cheapest pay as you go sims with big data allowances.

thanks kings6...i was trying to keep away from a monthly fee and wanted really a pay as you go that would simply be that...pay as you go so the credit stays on for more than a month if it isnt used.
    thanks

  • I also I'm looking for a pay as you go sim that doesn't expire the credit after 30days.

I have a contract phone and wifi at home so I don't need data, calls or text. I just need it to receive calls and texts, I might use it to respond to texts sometimes but will probably use whatsapp via wifi at home.

    Thank you.
