    why are they doing this?

I overheard the staff saying that there were bargains "hanging from the ceiling" yesterday and today there's hardly any bargains there. Apparently somebody had tried to buy all the stock off them at the sale prices, that would obviously mean that they would have to close straight away. She said the date they were given when they would be shutting down was July. Think that explains the lack of sale, pity, I went in there today looking for some bargains and there was hardly anything worth getting.

doubledark did you get it for £81.99? Just tried to reserve one but has gone back to £169.99!

No luck with this - they wouldn't honour the price this morning when I tried to collect it, or the Sony MP3 walkman either.

AWWW, some b...... has bought All the stock, so prices have gone back up. :wall: They seem to be acting as agents for the buyer.

Still I got Halo2 for the sale price of £12.99, no argument, when I gave the call and collect number from two days ago.:j

I managed to pick up the mp3 player for £36.99 and other people were still picking up things for sale prices - lots of items on the shop floor - walkmans, cd players, toys etc - maybe they havent gone round to putting the prices back up here?
