Well an nsd day for me today, had a few temptations but the purse didn't come out except to put a proof of postage receipt for my muzumba phone.
Next week will hopefully be the time when the money is credited into my account - so do I pay it towards my Evans card or my emergency fund or a mixture of both. It's not a great deal of money compared to what I am use to spending on nothing but every penny is considered now.
This weekend might be a tough one, its when hormones kick in - I can go one of two ways if experience is anything to go by. I either get silly that I have got no more and not got enough to live/survive on or I just think sod it, you don't know what's round the corner and you deserve to buy whatever you want -NOW!!
I am a strong sensible person and focused on my goals and I can do this.Save £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

You should be super-proud that you have already eliminated one of your debts, think how amazing it will be when you start to over pay on that loan and you know it will be cleared faster with less interest for the bank!
Keep your chin up over the weekend, if there's one thing I have learnt from this forum it's that I'm not alone in my situation and neither are you darlsLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £7390 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3677/£6000 | Travel savings £1832 | Sinking pots £31070 -

Start of the weekend, today is mainly visiting parents. Mum wants me to get some shopping for her on my way (spending without spending my own money). There is a lidl opposite so shall pop in there and see if there is anything on my shopping list that is cheaper than tescos.
Shall do the main shop on the way home, it's mainly fruit , vag and stuff for lunches so hopefully not budget breaking.
I normally put £5 on the Christmas saver when I go to tesco but realised I have £100 saved already, combined with the £6 bonus and the £38 in saved rewards I don't think I need to put anymore in. So the £5 will get paid off my Evans account. - every little helps.

Sounds like a nice spend free day ahead..
For me it's a deep cleaning session, hubby has been poorly but he is now back on his feet so we are tackling the house followed by some gardening so we can have a BBQ tonight.
This will free up tomorrow for a bit of R&R

LMD hope you had a good day yesterday and that you weren't too tired to enjoy your BBQ.
I had a good day yesterday - got food shopping, a few bits that weren't on my list jumped into the basket , but hey ho still spent under £20. Didn't buy any yogurts as non on offer and I am not spending silly money on them - will look at sainsburys on my way home.
Had a cooking morning. Made some hairy dieters pies, faffy but 6 meals for the freezer. In addition I had half a pack of mince left over and previously I would have thought I can't be bothered using the rest and thrown in ( out of the freezer so couldn't referee) but today used up some fresh chillies, garlic and tin tomatoes and made an additional 3 meals of meatball in a spicy sauce. So nine meals out if a pkt of mince is pretty good going.
Not going out today so another nsd hopefully.
Target spend for this week is £15, for odds that I need during the week and£5 for the window cleaner. I live in a first floor flat and £5 is well spent as there is not a chance that I am climbing a ladder to clean windows.

Sounds like yesterday was a good day all around... we ended up cooking inside as it looked like we were going to get a bit of a shower early evening and then as soon as we had loaded the dishwasher we had glorious sunshine! Typical...
Your 9 meals from a pack of mince is seriously good going, well done! I have splurged this morning and took hubby for breakfast at the local Frankie and Benny's diner. That's it for today's spending though, except for my obligatory 'Payment a day' of course! :rotfl:
Hope you have a lovely Sunday

As you have said to me it's about balance and we all need to relax occasionally.
Do you pay something everyday? Or do you save it up and pay it weekly? I have been considering doing it.Save £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

I have the days where my payments are due to go out anyway, these tend to be large amounts and close to the start of the month. When everything is paid I carry on paying a little bit every day. The way I do it is to check my bank balance and then 'round it down' to the nearest £5 or £10 so for example this morning my balance ended in £8.79 so I paid £3.79 off my credit card.
If there are no bank ins or outs I pay a £1 instead. Every little helps!
There are no rules so you could do it as often as you like, whatever suits your style and budget. I also sometimes add to savings rather than debt payments...
