Saturday done.
It's been a busy family one. My sister was over ( the one who recently brought the new car) so this afternoon has been full of car talk and how wonderful it is.
If I'm honest part of me was a bit jealous ( don't like admitting that) but the other side of me was that it was stuff. she's in debt for it and if she wants to buy a brand new car knowing full well it will lose masses of value as soon as it's driven out of the forecourt - more fool her.
Made another PAD today. Very addictive. Only one more until payday, five weekends has made it a very long month.
In my purse I have left, just over £20. In my bank I have £3 and I am owed £7 from work expenses. So all told I have about £30. Which considering I was worried a week ago as to whether I would have enough to get to pay day I am thrilled. This will go into my emergency fund on Monday. Although I have been budgeting for best part of three months I still haven't got my head round what I need to get me through the month. Suppose it's an ongoing leaning curve.
I come home every day hoping that there will be a letter on the mat regarding my ppi but no, still nothing. I sent it off 8 weeks ago on Monday however it took a week plus to get an acknowledgement so still time. Hoping no news is good news.
If anyone has any tips on how to be more patient please let know how. I'm like it with everything. I have set my heart on being debt free and I want to do it now. I suppose in some ways it's useful as I will do everything I can to achieve the goal sooner rather than later, on the other side I put myself under too much pressure as I want it now!!
Off to watch strictly xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

I'm not a very patient person but I have a terrible memory so I tend to forget that I have done things...Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £7390 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3677/£6000 | Travel savings £1832 | Sinking pots £31070

Had a very quiet day today. Not been out and therefore by virtue an nsd.
Caught up on jobs at home. I have also done a shopping list in prep for tomorrow's pay day.
I need to buy some new underwear this month so that shall be my treat. It is a need rather than a want and I can identify the difference now.
I have looked at my ppi acknowledgement and it's dated the 12th august so hopefully I should hear this week ( yes I know I'm impatient and I can't help it). What I didn't realise was that you have to pay 20% tax to hmrc on any interest if the complaint is upheld. So that's something to bear in mind if I'm lucky enough to receive anything.
Love this site as you learn something new every day.
Hope you've all had a nice relaxing Sunday xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Yippee it's payday. Nothing out of my account until tomorrow and It will go from a nice balance to count down to payday. Made a PAD to my loan account of £5.95 this morning and have come home from work and paid a further £22 into my emergency fund.
Tomorrow most of my direct debits come out and I've already transferred my shopping/spending money into my separate account. Everything is accounted for and I've even remembered the window cleaner and the lottery so no surprises mid month this time (well hopefully).
Now the parrot ... Still no ppi letter.
I've got over my sulk regarding my sister and her new car etc, happily content with everything I have and my slowly diminishing debt ( rather than a shiny new toy and a HUGE debt).
Positive thinking ( even if it is surrounded by impatience) will get me there. Seriously looking forward to the freedom that losing the debt will give me.

Slipped of the dfw last couple of days. Not brought silly things just not written it down in my diary and had the odd sod it moment.
Not working tomorrow and have to stop in so tomorrow is likely to be a NSD. Whilst I am home I shall update my spending diary and make sure I know where I am money wise.
Need to get my head together as I don't want to slip backwards xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Workmen in all day replacing floorboards. Spent most of the day trying to keep my silly absolutely no road sense cat from escaping whilst the workmen seem to have the opposite objective.
I'm not surprised she wanted to escape with the noise, drilling, banging sawing, I wouldn't have minded myself and I knew what was going on.
Anyway it's all done - now just need to find someone to refit the carpet. It's not fantastic ( above mentioned cat likes to use it as a scratching post even though she has the purpose built one) but needs to be refit. Alternatively I have an off cut under the bed that could be used.
Shall go on to a local ebay site and find out if anyone has an contacts and hopefully it won't cost a fortune. The weather is shocking and no plans to go out this evening so an NSD for me.
A small PAD this morning of 81p but every little helps.
My outstanding loan is slowly going down but it's going in the right direction and will speed up in January once I get a pay rise. Although I am keen to get the debt down I am considering saving extra. Think I would rather have a safety net if anything happens ... But I regularly change my mind.
