Sulking - Why?

Well we can stand here and pontificate on the symtpoms, but the issue is something more obscure. Psychology can't be relied on because it doesn't pass the rigours of the scientific method - it makes no predictions based on exising data, and deals only with making theories after the fact.
once psychology and theology are finally lost as aberrations in the archives the emotional human condition will still remain. Maybe your man is dissatisfied with his expression of his individuation. Maybe it is time for him to stick his neck out a bit, and take a risk on an underlying ambition
or maybe it's just time for some yoga. who knows. end of the day he ain't gonna get better just sitting on it.0 -
I have an ex who used to be a champion sulker, in his case it was a form of control, I didn't see it coming, he was a master manipulator. I would spend ages asking what the problem was for him to say nothing, but not give anything else to work with. He was able to switch it on and off when he felt like it too, he would be a real sulky mood, not acknowledging me and then a friend would come to the house and he was the most congenial host you could imagine, once they had left, he took up the sulking again.
He used it as a form of punishment and seemed to take great delight in it.
I eventually said I ha, had a gut full of it and my stock phrase when he got like that towards the end was.
'you got yourself into it, you can get yourself out of it, I won't be sticking around to watch'
He is still a control freak, but thankfully he is someone elses problem now :T:T:TBeen here for a long time and don't often post

Oh! The same thing repeatedly?
I've experienced that with a guy (it was about sex). I just told him that sulking turns me off totally and I probably wouldn't be interested for ages if he didn't behave! The sulks mysteriously disappeared. :rotfl:
I'm not saying it's the same issue for you of course.
No the reason for the sulk is different each time.0 -

I sometimes behave like that when the kids are out for a few hours on an evening at a club and we have the rare perfect opportunity to have some noisy sex without being interrupted and my wife only sees it as an opportunity to go to Matalan and look for some shoes!!
Treat him like any dog with a flea in his fur..
Flip him over, a couple of squirts of baby oil and 10 minutes and job done, he will be humming sweetly like a Miele washing machine for the next 24 hours. Throw in a curry for really bad cases.
lmao!!this has really made me laugh!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:My ex is a big fat sulker, hence why he's my ex!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
