Can't help you if it is from Amazon or similar but for personal deliveries I have found UPS stop2shop and shop2drop (booked through parcel2go) which is chaeper than standard courier service and has the convenience that at either one or both ends rather than waiting for a courier you can drop off/pick up at a local shop.I think....0

Silvercar, have you seen this?

Families who build annexed extensions on their properties to home family members will receive a tax break from next April0 -

Yes, its a standard from shop delivery.0 -
At Feltham - neither of my cases has started yet, it's clearly going to be a long, boring day........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Used to drive past the Young Offenders Institution quite often when we lived in our previous place on the way to Asda or Lidl Feltham. Not nice.
I'm not at the YOI - I'm at York House, the big Immigration Tribunal opposite a large Tesco, about a mile from the station.
It's a huge building - about 26 courtrooms, I think. It's one of the two main tribunals in London; the other one, Taylor House, is on Rosebery Avenue, not far from Angel, and is much more convenient for me.
Feltham is a total non-place, just a Heathrow dormitory, really....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

PN is correct. From a money saving point of view the cost of the ensuing divorce would massively outweigh the saving in council tax.
It is a bit of a con, because when you create a granny annexe they tax it separately, so then giving a discount probably isn't exciting as the headline makes out.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Slightly less keen on Simon (must be a generation/personal aquaintance thing) but otherwise I love all those names
I had 2 good friends at school called Simon and 3 really good mates called Simon at Uni.
We're similar ages I think (can't remember: I have had to learn about how asset managers can spend client commissions and that has pushed a few other things out of my finite memory).0 -
We have:
Simon Joel
Richard Joshua
Anna Judith
Asher Benjamin
Adam Raphael
With the benefit of hindsight, I suggest not giving them the same initial. When something arrives for Mr A, the two youngest ones are in competition to open it.
I wanted Raphael, OH ruled it out. It was his grandfather's hebrew name but his english name was totally different, so the compromise was to have it as DS1's hebrew middle name, which has only been used twice in his life so hardly counts.
All lovely names, though I would worry that Richard would get called !!!!!!.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
