    Talk about Catch 22!

Our doorbell needs a new battery. So, I ordered one from Amazon for delivery today. I found a card on the doormat saying they had attempted delivery. We were in, but, of course, the door bell was not working .....

But it is a great excuse for why on Christmas morning their is no pile of presents under the tree 'I ordered them all online but none of them were delivered because Amazon were unable to deliver the new door bell battery'

Edit: Anyone got any get rich quick schemes - my work is so boring I am really struggling to make myself do it :(
    I think....

Pastures has a get rich quick scheme involving an old pair of knickers. Sadly, she never gave any more details. Perhaps the NPs can collaborate to bring this to market, and we can all get rick quickly?

How to guide your children into adulthood: lesson 254

See back a few pages but in short DS2 was inconvenienced when natwest systems failed. On the website it now says that "If you need to get in touch with us about the recent system issues, or make a related complaint, you can do that by following the links below." so on the one hand I don't want to encourage the compensation culture mindset, but on the other hand the bank is asking people to let them know if they were put out. And if they are appeasing people then he is entitled to make his views known as someone who was genuinely put out.

So I directed him to the website and told him he should complain.

Ah, home before 5pm, surely that's not right?

I'm being whisked off for dinner shortly, by the couple that we bought the taxi company (first time around) from, the other director and a controller (who left shortly after we sold, then came back when we bought)

It's supposed to be a birthday present, but seeing it was 3 weeks ago, seems pointless, but it's good to catch up (Tony, now 80, still drives 2 days a week)

I'm sure that this isn't what our band vehicles and drivers are for (I'm putting £250 in the pot, so its personal use)

    If you're meeting tonight, enjoy!
