It took me a while (much too long!) to work out that it says 'aunt'. :o

On a different tack, I bought a free kindle ebook http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00B4IDSWY

I then received from Amazon a code entitling me to buy other ebooks for 99p. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html/?docId=1000767543

Of course, 99p is far too much for me to spend on ebooks, but other people may benefits.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Oh dear. I am not a natural. It looks like.....la tribute to a weed killers against ivy . Oh dear.

Our sweet pea plants have been flowering up til now, & were producing seed pods til last weekend!

I think my pc has died. Had a scenario where it worked for 20 mins or so & would then cut out.
The cutting out suggested it was over heating, or something shorting. Tried using compressed air to clear out the dust (there was a lot) however now it won't even boot up.
Main thing I want to get is the photos off there!

Problem now is what to do. Where is a good/reliable place for pc repairs that doesn't cost the earth?

If it's CPU thermal cut-off it should be rather simple to solve.
Is the heatsink still sitting nicely on CPU? Maybe one of those clip thingies to press it on the CPU came loose? Maybe thermal paste should be reapplied....if you were near i'd do it for free.
Isn't there a colleague or a friend who knows their way around a computer case?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Going to see a "bit of an odd" house.... the photo doesn't really show it, photo looks like some mansion that's been divided into flats, but it is allegedly freehold. It needs work and is a repo, sold at £236k in 2007. So, in two minds about it - might be shabby/creepy .... or it might be doable.

Got to be there in an hour and no idea where it is yet.... but there are others viewing it too, before me, so might not even get a sniff at it. I think it's something that developers would see an easy profit in as the layout can be changed to make it better, with an extra bedroom, so "worth more".

Anyway .... it proves I am looking at alternatives/any house I can afford :)

    It's £190k

I lived in a subdivided mansion for a while at uni. It was beautiful...but noise travelled really badly. I think I'd be looking at how good the conversion was. The problem with freehold things like that is share of roof repairs can be really big ).

Does it blink/beep when you power it on - the pattern of blinks/beeps should tell you (via google) what the issue is. Also do you hear the HD whirring? unfortunately HD failure is probably the most common failure but if this were the case you would still see the bios screens so if it is compeltely dead then the HD can probably be reused even if the mobo or cpu are dead.
    I think....
