Well, no-one's perfect. Not even you!

Funny, others say that as well:rotfl:
Well, just for you bugs, as I have broken dh's rule without realising anyway I might as well go the whole hog....

(Problem was the antlers were too big for him so they flopped around unless they were held). Both the men in my life in that pic, ain't they sweet?

Well I'm fairly sure I won't be able to identify fir from just his arms.... Kiwi is another matter though, if ever I am around lir town, my eyes will be peeled. Did he mind the antlers? Even if mine had ones that stayed on, they'd only try and take them off.

I am in my car acting suspiciously.
  • What's the house like, PN?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

    I like the curtains. :)

    Haha, they are too short!

Thanks! They have been given to me by a lovely person I met through Mse who has become a very, very dear friend (I have met some people I care about deeply here) who has a friend who butpys and sells 'posh' houses. Sometimes the curtains are left in them, like these. They are interlined, so keep the warmth in. :). They don't match the others in the room though:rotfl:

    No, he didn't mind.

Big dog was the only one who wasn't convinced, but she mainly just made embarrassed eyes at me.

There is another one of Kiwi very near here. Was a shock to both of us. Only discovered it recently, they didn't know about kiwi and I didn't know abut them.) if you see one not to standard but with a good tail set that's not kiwi. Kiwi is actually matured into a nice dog now, but has incorrect tail carriage , far too high and jolly.

It seems that would be sensible plan for him Lydia. It must be so frustrating. He is clearly a very intelligent young man, that stands out clearly about him. When you post saying he doesn't realise that my heart aches, because until he has self realisation nothing much will help. I wonder if there are any fun things over summer that might draw on his strengths and give him some of 'that'?

Is he still doing the animation? What is he doing 'for fun' that is esteem boosting? Also, is he physical? Does that help mood lift for him? I know you know more than most how stressful the future years are and how getting good coping strategies and habits for life in place are.

Has he made any good friends?

Actually he's better than he used to be at realising that he is good at some subjects. Being put into sets for about half his subjects has helped - he's in top for maths and science, and 2nd (out of 4) for hist/geog, but bottom for English and obviously bottom for French and Spanish. Interestingly, he can now judge quite accurately how good he is at the subjects he's not in sets for too, which is good, because last year he couldn't really do that. Knowing how his ability and performance compare with those of other students hasn't stopped him setting stupidly high standards for himself, though, and he finds it hard to believe me when I tell him the teachers like him.

He has made a few friends, thanks, and he does 2 or 3 extra curricular things in school, and has also joined a drama club out of school where he says the other young people are all very friendly and he has a lot of fun. :) so it's not at all as bad as it was a few years ago - the reason I'm kicking up a fuss with the school is because parts of it are getting worse rather than better.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Good for kiwi. Having a jolly tail is good, whether the standard says so or not. :)

Oh but the good stuff is good to set against the worsening stuff, which you are tackling. I'm pleased to read that :).

Mrs Wheezy would like to go see it in 3D.
We've never been to see a 3D movie in the cinema. :o

Yes, & I'm not a fan of 3d films. However I will make an exception in this case & say it has to be seen in 3d.
Specifically made for 3d, & you need to see it in 3d to fully appreciate the effects of distance etc.

Like I say, it can be claustrophobic or stressful at times, but it is a really good film. I'd encourage you to treat the good lady to a night out!:)

Glad I didn't post spoilers now...:)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

That's what I think too. He is quite a submissive person, so I wouldn't dream of showing off his tail set by encouraging him to carry it low.

IMO, if someone np cannot see 'where his tail is stuck on' they've got no business evaluating a dog. To damper any enthusiasm would be the wrong thing to do.

He is a funny chap, highly enthusiastic, but cowers very easily. Very easy to damage a little soul like that. He can be full of beans but backwards at coming forwards with people he doesn't know.
