What does Norwich make of the Alan Partridge movie (which I saw on my hols)?

Not a scoobie to be honest but James is not very complimentary about it :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I never have rice with it, just use it as filling in lettuce wraps.

I think you're supposed to put ground rice into it or something, but I agree better just shoved on a lettuce leaf and inhaled.

I wax DH's too. He's not very hairy mind so just a small patch. No werewolves here.

    What is larb?

It is basically just mince (supposed to be pork but oh wont eat pigs so we did it with beef) fried up with shallots, chillies, lemongrass, fish sauce, lime juice, whatever other vaguely Thai ingredients you have lying around whack in some fresh coriander and mint and bung it on a lettuce leaf. It doesn't really sound that appetising but it works.

I get a few of the stray over-grown eye brows now, started plucking them as they appeared but they don't seem to grow back and I don't want to end up eyebrowless so now I just trim them. Shoulders are also staring to look more hairy than they did but it doesn't worry me. I can't stand dark ginger beards (or any beards for that matter) so even when I am in lazy holiday mode I don't let it go more than a day without shaving, although I have noticed the days growth is now distinctly 'distinguished' in colour :(

Can't (mustn't) grow a beard, or a moustache- the colours are all different!

I look like an experiment by a colour-blind pioneering face transplant surgeon.

That's quite normal though, isn't it? And the reason the jokes about women not matching are so misogynistic....its amazing and quite intriguing really how varied in coloration we can be. I don't think its a a 'mustn't' generally, even if the effect is startling.

Trimming eyebrows is a good plan. Eyebrows can be very aging...

Nah. I'm a brown-haired man with a black beard and blond moustache. Overlaid with grey.

    It ain't happening!

Can't grow sideburns, which, as I'm a celt, is a bit odd I beleive.

I have naturally ' tortoishell' hair when I stopped dying it. My hair is now mainly mouse, but the temples ate still very fair, not grey, and I have the odd very dark hair growing through and then some red.* My eyebrows are dark blonde, helped with pencil. Dh has very dark hair, but a much lighter beard in patches. Golden blond I suppose. :)
    *hairdresser makes all this moot

Latest Spanish student claimed she thought I was mid 30s :rotfl:

Then again she spent the week hanging out with the 'cool lads' in their early 20s having told them she was 24, as they were much more 'fun and full of energy' than the other female students in their 30s...I think she found the whole week quite rejuvenating as she is actually 33 :rotfl:

    OH has that problem.

I have never been allowed to pluck or wax OH. His back is hair free (should that be bald? Never heard people described as having a bald back). His eyebrows are not bad, but I would like to improve them.
LNE used to pluck the centre of his monobrow to separate it out into two separate ones, and sharved his face, but otherwise he was just hairy all over. It never bothered either him or me.

My dad had dark hair and a ginger beard. When he grew the beard he stopped wearing those of his ties that had any red/burgundy in them. Years later when his beard had gone grey he got all those ties back out and started using them again.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
