Well, the view down my throat looks like pictures of the throats of people who've had their tonsils out, but nobody's ever taken mine out. Maybe I just have naturally v small ones or something.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I've got tonsilitis. Been in bed all day. I'm sort of at the point where if I were wrapped in cotton wool a bit, I could go and sit and observe, maybe, maybe not. It probably wouldn't be all that sensible. Really disappointed and a bit tearful. We don't go out all that much anymore.
Just a feeling sorry for myself post, nothing more.
Oh Cinders, I am sorry. That is disappointing.
Where were you supposed to be?

Lydia wrote about hot choclate pudding in its own sauce a little while ago.
It inspired me to make it tonight (we call it debden chocolate pudding). It has taken an hour and three quarters and the sponge is only just set.
Heavens knows what it will taste like or even f we hav eteh appetite for it after dinner.
We have a lamb casserole . OH has spent the day in the middle of nowhere shooting and is now in the bath trying to warm up. DD has been riding and doing 2 equines from 1-5pm so is shattered (she is out of practice for doing more than one - appreciate LiR will think 2 is nothing) but is making herself steak and blue cheese sauce then going to bed.0 -
I lay under a blanket on the sofa all day .... then heated up a Lidl part-baked baguette - had half, split and covered in cheese/beans for lunch - had 2nd half split and filled with two nuked "fried" eggs for tea.
Still not gone out for milk.... thought about it, changed my mind. Now also out of marg and nearly out of cheese..... so might have to go outside at some future point.0 -
A few weeks ago I was randomly selected to be part of the annual Health Survey for the nation. If you consent, they visit you to take details of your height / weight (aagh), vegetable consumption (practically none in the previous 24h), smoking details (none), and a blood test for cholesterol and diabetes.
Just got the cholesterol results back and the overall amount is higher than it should be.
It's quite confusing trying to research what diet is good for improving this reading (and then very difficult to try to get my head round accepting that I need to do this).
