We may have possibly had a third child if the other 2 were girls. I was never keen on having another, but DH did want 3 at some point and if the first 2 were girls I may have felt obliged to go for a third. Spreading the first 2 out was deliberate in that it meant we were more likely to agree that 2 was enough.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Out of interest, how many of the nice people can pronounce the word Isthmus? Is it just me having trouble?
Must be a trick question. Never heard of the word, so I wouldn't have a clue.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My parents wanted to have 4, and assumed that their 4th would be a red-haired girl, as red-haired girls were what they had (we all had red as newborns, then it fell out and grew back fair). When my dark-haired brother was born, my mother took some convincing it was actually her baby, but she ended up convinced when his dark hair fell out and grew back fair, too.
My Nanna was convinced my parents kept going until they had a son, nothing would change her mind!
I don't mind what flavour this baby is, I'll be happy either way....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

It's a narrow piece of land, such as the bit where the Panana canal is. A land bridge, really....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I think that's nicest.....whatever comes comes, there's not that much you can do about it! One of each might sound ideal, but two the same has things going for it too, especially if they have shared interests.
I really only wanted one, would have considered two if there had been pressure form a partner, but there wouldn't have been from DH he doesn't think. I think he might have got one, liked it a lot and wanted lots more and I'd have been having to check the contraception forever (had that been our destiny)
When we talked it was always clear I wanted a boy more and DH a girl. I think that's fun, because one of us would have got what we wanted most.0 -
Bugslet, haven't got book in but have remembered name......I think..prestigious textiles lands end. There are two colour ways. I like the sunset one over the dawn one for my house. (In an east facing window, lol)

Nearest to life I can find on google image, but nothing like the depth of it. Its a velvet, and looks like a painting. The yellow tone is more vibrant. And the ...orange just peeping at the edges is more prominent than they suggest, its quite a key element.
I'm not sure what sort of quantity I'll need, I haven't looked at the width of it, I like lots of fabric, but the pattern might look odd with too much repeat. I'll see when head is fresher hopefully.
They have some really nice things, beautiful art in textile. Nature I have loved and next to nature Art........in textiles. Sorry landor, I strove with someone too. But I was thinking that line with excitement looking through the books of this company at some of their florals.0 -
OH is on his way back from the Frozen North (Edinburgh). His case was a complicated nightmare, so I've put a stew on to cook (not too many smells, as it's all in the oven) and can pamper him when he gets home....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

...
Roll is 135cm wide.
One place quotes £80 for 100cm of curtain length.
Another site says repeat is 98cm
Looks like the full RRP is £110/sq metre.

Yes, its the with that concerns me. I've seen a drop, that looks fab, but I cannot imagine it seamed. For width. I think 135 is pushing it for width, it would do but would look stingy, but doubling would be too much I think, especially given the canvas type nature of the pattern. You'd want to actually see it.0
