It's not just that they are all young and attractive, they've all got long hair too. I just hope that the Amazonian tribe all say "yeah, you wish, in your dreams grandad".
Ummm the four at the bottom don't have long hair......more seriously, if as an organisation you find for whatever reason the female or male employees acheive higher sales/customer satisfaction ratings from customers should you be allowed to consider that when recruiting?
I'm not a nice person - I love open plan and think it is great for families....but I do admit that as well as our kitchen/diner/family room (that doesn't really have any soft fabrics to hold smells) we do have a separate 'grown ups' sitting room, a utility and a study/dining room/music room....I think....0 -
Wow! So many NP who don't like open plan living. I thought I was the only person left on the planet to be so far behind the times.
Need my own space, and definitely space with lots of books and no TV. Now I have it, in the house we moved to this year.
2 drawbacks - my DH wants to sit in there too sometimes, and the bookshelves are almost full. We have already rehomed lots of books!
We have a large room as kitchen diner; don't do dinner parties so any friends coming for a meal have to take us as they find us.0 -
I hate open plan for reason #3 quoted by viva (furthermore the kettle is very annoying). I like the idea of an open plan kitchen/dining room but there must be a separate sitting room otherwise I'm not interested.0

I came across this. Any thoughts on what the recruitment policy might be for:
1. Senior management
2. Everyone else

?
They took away my deck chairs! They're gone. Gutted. I had to sit on a small wall instead. I'll have to complain.
It's another lovely day here but the wind is getting up and you can feel the chill in the air which means the cool change is coming through. I'll be cycling home in the rain tonight and it's going to rain all weekend. Never mind, I'll enjoy the sun while it lasts and hopefully the rain will bring some of my herbs back to life.
These are plainly an equal opportunities employer, Generali.
1. Senior management ... Essential criteria must have an X and a Y chromosome. Desirable criteria None
2. Everyone else ...Essential criteria must have 2 X chromosomes. Desirable criteria Desirable. A willingness to pout would be an advantage. Applicants must include a recent photograph of themselves.0 -
The only odd thing I noticed in Gen's link was that out of 31 staff there were 4 "directors", 12 "managers" and 2 "team leaders".
Sounds like an investment bank!0 -

Not enough VPs for an investment bank.
Well I lucked out tonight. I had to work late (for a Friday in Australia) and each time I looked up the clouds were a little closer.
I got home on the bicycle and before I could get the zapper for the garage the heavens opened. Now it's chucking it down, hammering. Il pleut comme la vache pis.0 -

So excited by the puppy news, that I totally skipped the bit about your birthday. Belated Happy Birthday , CK.Anyone who is throwing up at all, let alone frequently, is entitled to whinge. Hope it improves soon, NDG.
But there would be lots of nice people. And with all the NP squashed into one small room, the place would warm up just from the body heat. We can bring all the food/drink/plates/glasses etc, and we won't need a TV because we'll be too busy talking to each other.
It's not as though the basicness of your place would be a surprise to anyone who reads the thread. We would be coming for the company, not the decor and facilities.
You can have a party anywhere, surroundingsare totally irrelevant, it's alla bout the people.
NDG, you whinge all you like, I would!0 -

Nooo, mine died 20 and 23 years ago and I still don't think like that!lostinrates wrote: »Meh, I have blasted through my presumed end point, but I still don't really care. Don't like big ones though. I find in stupid I don't like then, they don't change anything after all .
50 next year and looking forward to it. 40s, all of it has been dreadful, I want a new decade. Besides, got a darn good 50th bash planned.Wow! So many NP who don't like open plan living. I thought I was the only person left on the planet to be so far behind the times.
Depends how big the property is. Really, really big, great, Average or small, forget it.0 -
Something has definitely changed in me. I can eat stuff, I feel different....less inflamed somehow. Only problem is I reckon every single thing I have eaten this week now has been stored as fat.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
