He doesn't always, hence sometimes only goes once. (I suspect he'd been to the gym when he scalded in the shower at work, but sometimes he just showers at work anyway in the middle of the day).
He goes in the morning before work and in the evening either after work or breaks up an evening of work (its not far from his office). He likes the evening because its quiet. At lunch time he used to swim for twenty minutes if he went but he's cut down on swimming because his skin couldn't take it so I think he's probably just going and running for twenty mins if he can get out, To do that of course he's not eating anything at lunch time....
His portable snack is raw broccoli or raw bunches of herbs like parsley. Sometimes water cress. Not really ' meat on your bones" type food, but its a sort of stress mechanism for him, if he eats too much he feels weighed down I think, like he cannot flee or fight if he needs to I guess. Strange primeval instincts we have.0 -
I don't think you're worrying unduly at all it is clearly a bit odd, but at the same time I'm not sure what the right thing to do next is. It's the sort of situation where a friend needs to have a quiet word and you can't really effect that result.0

It looks as though she's working. And surely a girl of 10 shouldn't be alone out the front dealing with the customers by herself at past 10pm, even if there is a counter between her and the customers and even if the adults are just the other side of a swing door, should she? Am I worrying unduly, or is this a problem? And if so, what if anything should I do about it?
I remember being 10 and wanting to do grown up things.
They were only a few feet away and probably there's a two way piece of glass between the kitchen and counter.
They know their customers/trouble times.
It's not a school night.
You're worrying unduly.

If the Girl in the Take Away seems healthy and happy I'd say there's nothing to worry about and would thus recommend not worrying.0

Lydia, sorry to hear of the postponement. I guess you feel this would give you some sort of closure and a delay will delay that. Have they explained why they need to postpone?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks silvercar. I'm not terribly impatient to get to closure - my life is too busy to worry about that. I know I will get it eventually, and in the meantime I have plenty on my plate. Waiting for closure is more of an issue for his parents, I think. What I am most annoyed about is having had all that time since April thinking it was fixed, and making complicated arrangements involving many other people doing favours for me, and now having to change all those arrangements and mess about the people who have so kindly agreed to cover my absence or put me up when I'm away from home.
They are delaying because they haven't managed to sort out a logistical problem that was known about in April, and now don't think they can fix it in time to give everyone proper notice of the new arrangements in time for the planned start date. Realistically, this can only be for one of two possible reasons. Either the person who was supposed to deal with it didn't begin trying to do so in a reasonable time frame, or else they have been allocated an inadequate budget to sort out something that would actually work. Or, I suppose, perhaps they thought they had found a solution and were just waiting for confirmation that it would be OK, and have now been thrown back to square one when the confirmation has not been forthcoming, but in that case I think the letter would have been worded a bit differently.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I didn't know about uv pools. There is a non chlorine pool near by but he tried it and said it still smelt and felt 'chlorineish'. ( and that the swimming pool attendant was surprised it had Been described as chlorine free ....
I know he shpuld better,,,,but I also get his stressors. His weight ATM is perfect really, its more nutrition and stress I worry about. Cumulative stress is no good for any one, yet who truly avoids it?:D0 -
Its all horribly frustrating Lydia. I'm glad your support people were stoic about it, but I am sure they will be ( if able) when you need them again too.
How are YOU? ( besides practicalities)
Re the girl....well, I approve of kids working. But not alone front of house, especially on a weekend evening...0
