I answered, but the site went into maintenance mode and gobbled my reply.0

So we went ahead. Nothing actually went wrong, fortunately, but it's not much fun doing a hearing where you feel you'd rather have done more work, it all feels a bit like building on shifting sands.
Glad to hear that nothing went wrong for you but I really wish the judge had kicked them into touch. It just encourages such poor professional conduct from them (and others) in the future. Grr on your behalf - though well done for coping on so little preparation time.
I have a raincoat, but not warm coat. Though I spotted this

love the colour and it will go with a lot.lemonjelly wrote: »I have too many coats.
Other assorted coats & jackets run into double figures. Not exactly a fetish, but I do like options...:o
Mmm, coats ... lovely0 -

I like clothes by FWM but they are for young waifs.
I need the sort of coat that can comfortably cover a minibus in winter.0 -

What's your view on mushrooms?
Kitten pictures. THE ANTIDOTE to stress.

LJ - horrible but not surprising. The entire system is under resourced and frustrating. I hope this is the last delay you have to experience. I can't begin to relate to the situation but it's obvious that a final resolution to the process must be very important.0

For years I roasted potatoes in very little olive oil. Then OH heard Michael Cain give his recipe for roasties - cook in sunflower oil - and Mr S converted us.
They are not really to my taste. The good side is I eat less:).0 -

Thank you. I am feeling a little calmer now that I have made all 5 phone calls to the people/families I had made arrangements with, and they have all been nice to me about it. Not that I thought any of them would shoot the messenger, but all the same, I feel better for having got those calls done.
Off out to get a takeaway now. Not in the mood to cook.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
As work days go yesterday was definitely one of "those days".
If I don't laugh I might cry.0 -
DH told me today that the restaurants this week all sent him pudding which he hadn't ordered.
Upset tingly he threw all these puddings away. He said weirdly most of these puds were a piece of chocolate cake. Even from a Greek restaurant.
I think work are worried by how much weight he's lost recently and are adding pudding onto his supper menu.0 -
......
Perhaps it is an opportunity rather than a threat? Does it do any harm for you to think about the options?
In a deterministic universe we can't choose our fate but we have the choice of railing against what life throws at us or accepting it and making the best of whatever the situation is.lostinrates wrote: »DH told me today that the restaurants this week all sent him pudding which he hadn't ordered.
