I've seen lots of lovely baths recently but as I know you like my bath choices I thought I'd share the hammock bath with you. Its avaible in colours other than gold, but you know it would be gold in my house.

In the last 20 minutes I've had two "blips" power cuts - which, annoyingly, rebooted the PC.

For the first one I made a rollie and went out the front to "recover" (I get palpitations for about 10 minutes when surprised) .. and noticed the street lights were out, so it wasn't just me.

You're looking at the top one ( I'm guessing ) , I'm talking about the bottom one

Does that hammock one cope with the added weight of a person and a large volume of water? I assume you are going to say "yes" as that is what it is designed for, but it would worry me.

How does the plug work if no part of it is touching the ground?

Yes, as that is what it is designed for.

I am guessing the room is a wet room (there appears to be a drain below the bath) so you'd just drain the bath onto the floor like a shower. Hopefully it drains slowing or I imagine a flood. Either way, I am guessing a night mare to clean and only for a house where the peoe love to clean or disregard the well being of their domestic staff.

My son's life was saved by a smoke alarm. We regard ourselves as immensely lucky. We now have smoke detectors linked to the burglar alarm that then auto-dials the security centre when we burn the toast.

My kids' lives were saved by their seat belts. I find I now feel more strongly not only about seat belts but about other things like smoke alarms too.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Ah, I didn't scroll.

I'd not want that - I can't see that I'd ever manage to get in/out safely .... or trust its fittings :)

    Very frustrating Lydia.

At least its a fair amount of notice of the postponement , but when to? Will it be short notice when it will be?

That sounds infuriating, when you have made meticulous plans to cause the least trouble and others have been put out to help and then something random messes it up.

    Thanks both of you.

Goodness knows when it will be. There are so many people who need to attend that I can't imagine they will be able to find a 4 week block of time that everyone can make unless it's quite a long way into the future.
