I've been eyeing up a sofa in that colour. Let's hope it's still available in 5 years time when I get to 'replace sofa' on my list of things to do!0 -

Yes, I remember them as night lights too.
I had wondered if it was my grey/gray conc/conch prawn/shimp issue and there was a divide of common language, so now I know there is not. Only I'll forget again, lol.0 -

That's right, I'd forgotten that.
On the house fire subject thing I heard an amazing statistic. Nobody in NSW has died in a house fire in the last x (10?) years where a working smoke alarm was fitted.
Check your batteries!0 -

Ours still have little shower caps over them from when fitted. I'll be honest. I didn't want them and only had them because building control made me..
I know the one in the cheese room is going to annoy the ^*]{ out of me.0 -

Why didn't you want them?
I don't like the way they look ( we've put it as near a bean as allowed to mitigate impact but you aren't allowed to tuck it away near an edge) and they go off too often when cooking if you put batteries in them.
We wanted one that was used in certain business uses (it requires two triggers of three.....so smoke and one of two other things, and los better) but couldn't find them singly or cost effectively so let nice builder put in normal domestic units.
We have two in the bit he had, wired in, but also two battery ones. I made the battery ones less as they can be put discretely and moves somewhere where still used but not dictated by building control.
Edit...its not just fire alarms...I hate 'things'. I'm reasonably happy with the vent axis solution I stuck a photo up of....but even that grates a tiny bit...(though its the best that could be done).
I just hate visual disturbance for practicality. Frustrates the aesthete in me.0 -
I just wish smoke alarms were reachable ..... they're a danger to themselves as you [a] need a ladder need to get up there and fiddle about.
My smoke alarm is by my front door. As I sleep in the kitchen that'd not be a lot of good0 -

I'll never reach the one in the cheese room. Its way up. :rotfl:0 -
It remains a mystery to me how you remember where you are! Ihave visions of you writing it on the back of your hand so when you wake up, it's easy to remember:p
Saying that, I occasionally have to look at the 'last programmed location' on the sat nav to remember, although I am fine most the time.
I'm getting to the end of a heavy 6 month work pattern, so afterthe break, I'm more refreshed!neverdespairgirl wrote: »I spent 5 days in Kiev once with my best mate, after 5 days in Lvov and before taking the train to Moscow. I thought Kiev was quite the most scary place I've even been to - seriously threatening! That was in 1998; what is it like now?
In 2005, it was still little scary, but at Kids Eurovision in 2009, it was apparent that Tymoshenko has done a lot to improve the country, including removing much of the corruption.
I will let you know when I'm back, as I honestly don't know. I've only popped by for flying visit, although it will be interesting to see if UK number plates are still fair game for police to bribe at every occasion, as we're using our own vehicles this year for the entire event fleet.💙💛 💔0 -

Link, please?
I have/had/have a corner sofa in that colour. It used to be beautiful. I now have one half in my lounge, the other half is upside down on the skip as it smelt of dog and was ripped to shreds. I feel guilt every time I see it because it's structurally so well made and it was originally incredibly expensive (I got it second hand as well) but I had a fit about it and out that half wentEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
