Nice People Thread Part 9 - and so it continues

Not sure I'd want decking ... I bet it rots after a few years, I've heard they can become rat homes ... and, I bet, they're slippery when wet and require annoying annual maintenace.
Without decking, I can simply carry my £3.50 folding chair outside and plonk it down without any of those worries

I'm getting a feeling that a joke about women and decking won't be too far down the thread from here.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

And with raised eyebrows at the idea that you can get away with annual maintenance, perhaps a joke about men in retort?0 -

I can relate to this.
I'm not looking at a house (atm). However, I'm looking to upgrade my car. Decided on what I want. I'm going for a nearly new, as a 2 year old car is pretty much 45% of the forecourt price.
To make sure it is what I want, went to a showroom to have a proper check. Really liked it, & now have the dichotomy of really wanting it now, but also thinking it'd be good to wait til after christmas.
Fixed it for you GDB:)So, you don't need to worry about visitor parking spaces, at least. We can park outside on the road when we all visit to party!.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I'm trying a new way to find areas I might be interested in - and promptly found another bizarre one.
It's SSTC at £209,950 - so I went off to look at sold prices and it was bought for £200k in June 2013.0 -
