That house does sound good PN. Ticks lots of boxes.0 -

Have you ranked your requirements/preferences?
E.g down stairs loo out ranks en suite I guess:D. What about conservatory?0 -

When I got fed up of the houses I was looking at appearing (then quickly disappearing) at the top of my planned budget (190k), I upped it to the maximum I could stretch to (think it was 230k). I found there was quite a difference in the houses in that bracket. The biggest difference was deciding not to hold out for something in my first choice area. Which walking through it now isn't all that amazing (and only 5 mins walk from here) but is a nightmare to park in.0 -

I am uncomfortable when somebody is in my space, so a downstairs loo would make that more comfortable for me.
I could put a bucket in the garage.....
For me it's not the private space, its the shoes. I mentioned before in my lodgings I knew when someone had used what was supposed to be 'my' bathroom, and it was odds on they'd have been wearing shoes. Here, I'll be able to ask people to remove their shoes. I am however toying with the idea of buying a box of those blue overshoes you get at swimming pools....

That's what we have to get stuff up in our loft, it works great. Plus it isn't on show as it is in the loft. However I don't think it would work for lir's application as when we use ours it takes two people... one to load and the other to hoist. It is great though. Also, from a health and safety perspective I'd worry about you losing balance and falling through the necessary void. Dumb waiter idea is much more practical. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Things like this are addressable. You will need some budget but have a look at where it could go - you need to find the big poo pipe on the outside. Hopefully where you want the loo and where the poo pipe is are close to each other. That will make it cheaper.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Parking is super essential for me. Garage for security - my car does not mark if I am in/out or away for a few days. MY parking .... that nobody else can steal because they are horrid and selfish. Parking for me + deliveries/friends/whatever without question or dispute. Essential.
"one allocated parking spot" - with all surrounding roads having yellow lines for at least half a mile is a complete dealbreaker.
I am not sure my car would fit in the garage of the house that's currently the main contender - but I am prepared to sell my car to [a] buy the house buy a smaller one to fit in the garage. Although it is probably only worth £2-3k. I bought it to make moving my stuff about easily as it has huge capacity. If I have bought a house I no longer need to think about how I can transport my stuff about to unknown addresses.0 -

Years ago I bought a brand new house - and so had to buy carpets. Nice deep pile, pale grey carpets, to go with the pale grey walls and the black sofas......
I had a friend at the time who was in a wheelchair - fat chap in a wheelchair. I was so pleased he never suggested visiting to have a look - as I didn't want him and his wheelchair making ruts of mud across my carpet. I guess he knew this is a general problem in most people's houses and probably why he never suggested coming round.0 -
There are other portals than rightmove. try primelocation and zoopla.
In some areas hardly anyone uses a portal so you have to wade through individual estate agents websites.

For a moment I thought you were suggesting she send her laundry down the waste pipe:rotfl:0
