Hi all - sorry not to have checked in earlier. Baby all fine, happy, bouncing around and being a bit difficult to check!

    So happy for you. :D

Happy they gave you such a comprehensive scan, too. That should really set your mind at rest, particularly since you're just about at the "stop worrying quite so much" magic number of 13 weeks. :)

Ex hubby has been in town for two days now, we've not heard from him at all as yet. No idea when he is going to have the boys, he can't see them during the day as they are back at school tomorrow, so that leaves just evenings....and youngest has got exams this week so needs the revision/relax/destress time.

Great planning on his part eh? Half term was last week but apparently, this works out better for everyone.....huh

Words fail me. I want the shrugging smiley. I imagine you won't have to tell him what an idiot he is because your boys will do that themselves??

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I phoned about WTC, they said it'd take about 5 weeks and a guesstimate would be I'd get £200/month.

Is it worth the hassle of forms and stuff and evidence and stuff and everything? I keep hoping I'll turn a corner....

Yes, of course. You turning up your nose at £50 a week!

Plus it may open the door to other benefits: council gyms, cheaper dentist, help with council tax.... don't know which doors are opened but some may be.

Not to be sniffed at imho. Have you tried entitledto website as perhaps you can claim housing benefit as well because your savings are for the purpose of buying a house.

Edit: In this day and age you would think it would be possible to heat a large office building so it is not randomly too hot or (like now) brass monkeys :(
    I think....

If you decide to go ahead with it, you'll very likely have to do your initial application on a paper form, but after that, always deal with changes of details or your annual renewal by phoning in your numbers. They deal with them much faster than if you post them. No idea why they've never introduced an online version, and they won't now, because WTC is on its way out, being replaced by UC.

£200 a month would more than pay for a Band D property, methinks. Well worth expending a bit of ink from a pen on their piece of paper.
    That's if paper still exists.

I've never been in a gym - won't be buying gym equipment and paying to go to a council one.

I've got denplan at a dentist I've had for 15 years as I hate dentists as I had a bad and unexplained experience as a child at school dentist.

CT I pay with my rent, so don't want to rock any boats there.

The "buying a house" is limited to 6 months directly after you've sold the last one. No HB payable.

Income this tax year has averaged at £285/month, so £200/month would be a significant increase, but if my income improves I might end up with having to repay it, along with the associated hassle.
