I find it rather fascinating to see just how far people put so much importance and time to the likes of Facebook that they cannot live without it and are frustrated to learn that WiFi is not available to them when away from home.

One day someone will invent a way of implanting a computer chip into their bodies to control their lives.:(

I like to talk about chips when the conspire any theorists are in on the board. I have since exercised this in real life and its both delightful and scary (and mean) to watch them go ashen then purple. I tell them I cannot wait til I'm chipped, need no paperwork or wallet to go wherever I want and spend what I want. I'll hopefully Beale to operate the cat flap and the central heating from my wrist chip too.

And I bet that you say this in such a convincing way along with having a total straight face that you hit them full on with the greatest impact.

I think machine sewing is harder than it looks.

I have an inherited Singer sewing machine from the 1950s that I don't know what to do with. They don't seem to sell for much on Ebay because they are too heavy to post. I kept it as a family heirloom, but I now feel ready to get rid.

On the underwear question, try M&S!

I heard they offered such a hefty money back trade-in that it destroyed the second hand market - dunno if that's still true but the idea was if you had one you always traded it in when buying a new one. Maybe can sell it cheap to someone who wants to buy a new one and needs it just for a refund?

And on another unrelated matter, good going sc!

    It's already started!

Many of the items that we brought with us from our recent move we have been giving away on the Freecycle.org site for our local area, could be an idea to help you decide what to do with your inheritance.

Zag....what a relief. I look forward to the day my handbag can be reserved for the important things like lipstick, handcream and a clean pair of beautiful knickers without needing a hold all.

I think it would be a squeeze to get our Aygo in our garage. And the garage is quite empty at the moment.

There is photographic evidence of 2 large cars in the garage - surely it is possible to fit one in...
    I think....

    Re sport and hobbies.
....aren't actually that beneficial for some personality types as STRESS RELIEF.
For me it's those competitive types that spoil sports for me. You're not allowed to just enjoy it - everybody's so competitive and keep telling you how much faster/better they're doing .... that it's really depressing if you're not interested in being the best/fastest at it, but just trying to enjoy doing it.

What I do about lingerie is every 2 years or so I wander into somewhere like Matalan, track down their cheap bras and get one in a 36C, then find the multi-packs of knickers and grab a pack of size 8-10 black thongs .... and that's it.

DS2 has a friend who is chipped. Connected to his diabetes. Frightens the hell out of me if it beeps suddenly. He has a letter to carry when going through airport scanners.
