Just had a delightful lunch consisting of soft boiled eggs, my OH tried a different brand from Morrisons namely Clarence Court - Mabel Pearman's Burford Browns Free Range with deep brown coloured shells and the most delightful deep orange yolks, we will include this brand again on our shopping list.
Which reminds me - I do hope that the two missing hens returned home safely during last nights disturbances.0 -

We had exactly the same brand of eggs with some streaky bacon in a sandwich. We called it breakfast though. Yummy.0 -

So took a look.... except it's a Closed Group.
I wouldn't want to join as I've no idea if Facebook will then tell every contact I've ever had that I've joined the group .... which I wouldn't want people to know as I am just taking a look.
I'd show up in the members list, which I woldn't want.
It's got 1500 members and covers from here to the big nearest town.
I've also got no idea how to join it....
You click the "join" button, then whoever set up the group approves you and you see updates on your newsfeed. You would be on a members list, but trust me with 1500 members no-one is going to look at the list to find you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I stick with Lidl's. 15 for about £1.Just had a delightful lunch consisting of soft boiled eggs, my OH tried a different brand from Morrisons namely Clarence Court - Mabel Pearman's Burford Browns Free Range with deep brown coloured shells and the most delightful deep orange yolks, we will include this brand again on our shopping list.

For breakfast I had 3 of those, scrambled, on 2 pieces of cheap thick bread toasted .... and a whole tin of Basics tomatoes (only 3 in a tin, feel cheated!).
For lunch I've got to use up a bag of frozen chips I bought a few days ago (before they go black/green). Already got some I cooked, in a plastic box in the fridge - once I've cooked the last of the bag I'll eat half and box up the other half.
Then it's chips for the next 2 days. Already had chips yesterday and the day before.0 -

I have been on Facebook now for a couple of years and find it so comforting to be able to contact friends all over our planet.
Recently by OH's cousin was getting married and we were invited to his wedding in Leccee in southern Italy and we really enjoyed ourselves especially getting away from the builders etc.:)
My main reason for joining Facebook was that my job took me throughout Europe and I made good friends through the years that I had lost connection with but now it is so nice to keep in touch, especially with the Italian side of the family because since the passing of my OH's mother who was Italian, we were becoming more distant and the wedding and Facebook we are being brought together again. We exchange pics over the site as well as chat.:)
The beauty of Facebook is you are not compelled to chat with anyone that you don't want to so it is quite private if you want it to be.
Give it a try.0 -

Which reminded me when I was younger and living in Glasgow the mums daily call to the children was 'what do you want to go with your chips today' because as you guessed 'chips' was the staple diet then.0 -
We had egg and chips a lot when I was younger. Loved that - especially when I was allowed to have 2 eggs!Which reminded me when I was younger and living in Glasgow the mums daily call to the children was 'what do you want to go with your chips today' because as you guessed 'chips' was the staple diet then.0 -

.
That's EXACTLY what puts me off. :rotfl:
Generally I've fallen out of touch with people for a reason. I have had a couple of friends track me down through DH ...
I think...take the hint people.:o
Then I have to tell them I'm married now, not available to meet in London, no I'm not in touch with x w or z so cannot reconnect or connect youyouand I cannot get you an in anywhere. Still interested in catching up? No, didn't think so.....':D
I used to get msn messages too, but ignored them and eventually they stopped coming,

I love email, but I find the traditional social media sort of invasive ness a bit ...rude. People wanting to know where you are, what you are doing etc. for me the joy of the Internet is its here when its wanted but not when its not.
I also get annoyed with companies that operate solely through facebook now (um, like i might:o) But DH opened his facebook on macputer so I get on it that way if I need to see something (with his permission of course).0 -
