OH has a big birthday next week and I haven't a clue what to buy him.
Any suggestions?
What does he do in his spare time? Does he enjoy any sports that you could get a ticket for? Is there anything he's always wanted to do or place to visit that he's never got round to?
There's only me in my family and I now own ( small mortgage) the one I live in, though I have at one point had two houses out to rent in the dim and distant past.
Oddly at nearly 50, I have never chosen a house that I have subsequently lived in. Really must remedy that one!0 -

There's no way i'm gonna nibble on chewie's limb.
Anyway, I'm not invited.
And even if I was invited, can't come as we're off on hols. Have a good NP meet, all those that go!
And behave, michaels.0 -
Aaagh - tenant wants to move in next Tuesday and is willing to forgo repainting to facilitate this so time to put a stop on decorators quotes and instead line up cleaners plus of course there are a few bits of junk to clear...and all this on the busiest week I have had at work for ages
Edit - And what was that about behave? I went home early last time having only had orange juice when some others ended up with sore heads the following day and NDG ended up the duff.I think....0 -
Isn't that a good thing? No void? Income?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Humph. I wasn't drinking either! And I didn't get pregnant until at least a couple of weeks later.........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

What a coincidence, you both didn't drink.
Okay.

oh gosh I love those...where are they from? They would sort out quite a few Xmas pressy situations for some 'olds' who don't 'need' anything.
Congrats on the tenants.....I thought that 6 months upfront people are ones who can't pass the credit check..no other reason to do it that way otherwise.......did they say why?

Though if you google grammar grumble mugs you can probs shop around?:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

When we bought a fridge last year we bought one that made ice.
I thought it was a ridiculous indulgence but knew DH wanted it so got one and tbh, got one at a good price so was happy with it.
In fact, its been a boon. The ice is used by parent and DH ALL THE TIME.
(Its those gin and tonics I tell you). In all seriousness, they do go in a real drink most evenings. Parent likes the drinks for medication taking iced too. And I like that they are clean and don't involve hours of ice tray chaffing about with.
Kiwi lOVES it when an ice cube misses a glass and darts in for it and runs out side with it, he just loves ice!
I use ice to shock veg when I've never bothered accept for entertaining before, just used cold water, not iced water. Its just so handy.
Tbh, I'd not be without it now. And I was so opposed to it initially0
