I was like that - never had any in the house - until I had a go at making some bread 6 years ago and that needed it.vivatifosi wrote: »I don't use sugar very often. My first bag of white sugar (well sealed in airtight container) lasted about 15 years. I've had my current bag since I moved in about 6 years ago.
When I moved in here I bought a small bag as so many recipes want some .... and I opened it the other week to sprinkle some onto rice pudding. Used another bit this week as I had bought milk (first for 30 years) to go with Weetabix (first for 45 years) .... so had 2 teaspoons with 2 weetabix.
And, as I had it, I sprinkled sugar onto the crumble I made today.0 -

I know nothing about music/musicians.... except I bet they're bl00dy annoying to live next to.
I often wonder about the poor, suffering neighbours of the dire acts that get turned down in X Factor.
It's not just the ones who get rejected, DW was watching this evening and I was thinking why can't we go back to the good old days of auto-tume...I think....0 -
Classical music - we don't really do it in the house but DD1 is doing some fugues and minuets for her piano grade and it is lovely to hear n the house, on the piano she often plays as an organ, strings or 'choral voices' and it is beautiful.
Our thoughts are with you Viva for Dr Tiff and Nikki our fingers are crossed for you.
I am planning to trump LIRs and NDGs beams but need to find somewhere to upload a photo to, brb.
Thanks for the kind words michaels and everyone else who has taken to their keyboard. He is on the train and will be home soon.
For whatever reason - and shaped largely by what I think is your taste in music - I read the above (bold) as DD1 is doing some fugees and minuets:o.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Now there is a good idea - currently as well as her exam pieces we have 'easy to play Abba' which is actually rather fun when played as strings with choral but easy to play classic nb would definitely liven up the house for DW and I.I think....0
