Hmm - not sure if excel supports that but perhaps you could just make the whole thing an xla?
    I think....

You can get excel to read from another file - ie not the one it's in. I only know how to do it when the other file is open, but you can do it by getting it to open the other file, read from it and close it again. Would that suit, or do you need to be able to use the thing from a different computer from the master copy of the data?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I am guessing (may be wrongly) that the whole issue is trying to get all the data into a single vba module that can be imported into every file he wants to use it in rather than having a separate data file that needs to be referenced each time?

The story underneath about the man who hid under a stall in Merry Hell and still got caught is also worthy of a read.

Because the children both leave their schools this year, we've been considering a move to either Worcester or the 'posh' bit on the edge of the Black Country. After reading this, Worcester looks much more likely.

Doozer, you may be the person to give me just the help I need.

I'm visiting Worcester this week. Any nice cafes where I can get a quick bite? Any must see tourist recommendations? I have a list of places I would like to see, but it is always handy to have recommendations.

I want a dog. DD wants a dog. I am being realistic that at present we would not be able to give a dog the amount of time and attention that it would deserve. We have to wait. When I explained this, she suggested a rabbit or guinea pig or something. I have agreed to another hamster, on the grounds that we know what to do with them and already have all the kit. So we have a new hamster. DD has named her Crystal. She is black and white. I will post a pic soon. She is very cute, but... she is not a dog. Sigh.

My brother was quite keen on a dog but Mum said no.

So my brother decided that, instead, he'd quite like a tarantula - after discovering that the British Tarantula Society was based in our town.

Mum soon decided that a dog wasn't such a bad idea after all!

Mac & Jac's caf!. I haven't been to the Worcester one - every time I try, it's closed! I have been to the Malvern one and it's lovely, I go there as a destination. Fresh, tasty food with a bit of variety. It's in the old part of Worcester, around Friar Street, which is really pretty.

I think, with your background, that The Hive has to be compulsory!

I've never done anything touristy in Worcester. I've been to work and events all over the place, I've also been shopping but haven't even been in to the cathedral :o I don't think it's the tourist centre of the world, but I can't really be forgiven for that, it is beautiful from the outside. The Guildhall is beautiful too. I haven't been there either!

Thanks Doozer, you are a star. My American friends trace their family back to Worcester, hence the visit. Funnily enough, I was speaking to the Hive today fixing that part of my visit.

Mac and Jacs looks fab. Thanks!

It's another way on, 20 mins in the car, but there's the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings in Bromsgrove. It's not far off the motorway. It's a real hidden gem. They take buildings down locally, brick by brick, and rebuild them in their site. It's fascinating, but that might be me! Maybe if the friends were interested in the type of building their ancestors would have lived in, it would be a nice visit. It's best when they have volunteers in doing things that people would have done - they really know their stuff.

The edwardian tea rooms are super, I've heard.

Yes. This is purely for convenience and portability. The present arrangement works perfectly well, as would Lydia's suggestion. It seems to be harder to implement than I expected. Thanks for looking at it for me.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I read that as Guadari, which is a Georgian ski resort. Not somewhere I'd like to go, as it's full of bloomin' tourists!

I agree with the rest of the suggestions.

On the meeting yesterday, I now have the support of a Welsh MEP, as I've somehow managed to convince her it would be good for Channel 4, S4C (as in wouldn't cost them anything) and for my own company. Things are good!
