I know Kent, don't forget. Do you class the denizens of the Medway towns as among hte righteous?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Some of us have been doing our bit for the retail and service sector
Decided it was time for a haircut (it's probably almost exactly a year since the last one).
I've also bought:
A pair of shoes (decided I need to try and start wearing more heels rather than flats all the time and a pair with a modest heel caught my eye)
Three pairs of tights and some spray on plaster from the clearance shelf in Boots
A Christmas present for my mum
Some random stuff from Morrisons (first visit to newly opened store)

I used to be able to get instant chocolate custard (M brand) there too, but the one down this way doesn't do that0 -

Wind-up fail, I'm afraid. Occasional pics of food - quite interesting. Random pics of food several times a week over several months - irritating.
Talking of food... I have the best next-door neighbours. Earlier this evening I was just wondering what to do for food when they phoned to say their girls had decided they weren't hungry and only eaten one slice of pizza each, so as a family they had loads left over and would we mind coming round and eating it for them...Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Today I've had two Weetabix and two crumpets. Both courtesy of Mr T's Everyday Essentials ranges. Total spend is about 25p including the milk/sugar on the cereal.
EDIT:
I was a bit bored so looked up the recipe, recipe online says a 28cm dish. Area of that would be 615 cm sq. My cheesecakes I buy, individuals, are 7cm, which have an area of 38 cm sq. So one of those is 16 of my cheesecakes.... or a year's worth
Even the online recipe says "serves 10" .... so I won't be making one any time soon.
I haven't had any so I cannot tell you whether its good or not. DH is going to have some soon. Resident parent has eaten about a six of it. My guess is what will happen is this...DH will eat a piece tonight, some will get eaten for breakfast , or a coffee snack tomorrow by both.
If something is transportable by train it gets taken to London o
N Mondays, minus some for parent through the week. Of not and its freezable it gets frozen for parent.
If not freezable parent is thrilled.
Other things get baked knowing that I have someone on for coffee at the beginning of the week ahead.
I wanted to see how much cooking time this would actually take. Its so quick it would be a really good thing to so with left over blackberries (which is what I had after making 'them' a crumble yesterday, ) midweek for supper, because the pastry could be baked in the morning while one showered, and the throwing together of the middle took barely minutes. About half the time the pastry took to cook.
It doesn't really inspire me, I have to say, but its better than crumble IMO. (I'm not a big crumble fan). And quicke, and not much is quicker than crumble!0
