That used to be as common as anything.
It's been suggested before.
I'm 95 percent sure she isn't. And if she was it doesn't really matter.0 -

I'd still call them advent calendars.

For wording on google I'd try: reusable advent calendar0 -

I'm pretty sure I would like to have children, if the opportunity arises. Got a few things to sort out before that's likely to be an issue though...0 -
We visited a good school's open day. They had up drawings of students' houses drawn by the students.
With the addresses.
Soon worked out the catchment area from that!
Must be an art academy. Any students drawing of houses I've seen has windows 1, 2, 3, 4, a door centrally and a chimney with smoke.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Shhhh - I can already hear my biological clock ticking quite loudly enough... don't encourage it!
At what age do biological clocks start ticking loudly?
We just thought that we should start thinking about kids when we had been married a few years. I don't recall listening for anything ticking, it was more the next thing on the list.
Having only ever wanted 2, it seemed sensible to spread them out a bit.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. 24/26. Female Fertility depletes considerably at 27 doesn't it? I'm out of the loop. I know before my world imploded I wanted my one or two at between 26 and 32.0 -
Your kids have specific problems that are not anybody's fault. They are not merely the product of inadequate parenting - in fact the reason they are turning out so much better than anyone might have expected is because the quality of parenting they are receiving is consistently excellent.

Aww, that is a lovely thing to say, makes me feel quite soppy.
Truth be known, I muddled through in the early days, resisted 'advice' from certain areas because it felt wrong and then just went on a wing and a prayer after that :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

But... if there's no choice but to go to the nearest/local school when it comes to school application time, then doesn't that make it even more the case that parents with a choice about where to live would choose to live where the nearest school was a good one? Because surely it's always been the case that some parents put effort into choosing schooling and others don't. I mean, the ones who send their kids to private schools are obviously putting effort into choosing schooling. There must always have been some parents who couldn't afford private school but could afford to choose where to live (especially those working/living in larger towns and cities) and chose with good schools in mind, mustn't there?
We had to do a lot of research for middle and youngest high school because of their needs and due to youngest's problems with school transport (he couldn't cope with it), we decided on the out of catchment but still in the next town high school.
For middle, we had chosen the same one as youngest but that was more to do with those at the catchment high school would know what triggered him to be aggressive and would use that as 'fun' whilst at school.
Eldest just went to the catchment school as we didn't know about choice!
Imagine my horror when the two joined together...the catchment high school had been deemed unsuitable for youngest due to the architecture of the actual building, the acoustics (he is very sensitive to sounds), the ease of escape, the lack of a decent senco department etc.We made it!
