I've personally messaged the two NP that I was going to be meeting, but due to the weather reports, I'm staying at home on Sunday, as I don't really fancy being stuck in the rain for half the day. The 3 wheeler has the roof in bits, as it was leaking (so has no roof to assemble at all), and I'm not comfortable getting the other car (built in 1947) stuck on a field, as whilst road legal, it's RWD only, as it's part way through mechanical restoration.
Sorry to anyone else that was thinking of joining us, and to the two NP I've just PM'd, sorry if I've ruined your plans

Awww - did I miss this being mentioned? I definitely would have come along
Don't suppose it matters so much now if it's being cancelled.
Couldn't you use one of your uber-cars instead?0 -
Ah! Nikkster is buying! Very cool
And congratulations, michaels!
We decided to go ice skating last night. The kids loved it. DD is only eight but was out there by herself, didn't want a hand to hold at any point. DS skates fast but with limbs flailing, which was hilarious as he was wearing neon gloves under UV light. I'm so glad that they were both happy to fall over and get straight back up again. Both have blisters which will feel more painful today without the exhiliration.
Doozer boy was not that happy as he was the only bald person. Also, not that happy to fall over and get up again - related to the 'bald' thing.
I didn't fall, but I've developed a method of skating that doesn't involve lifting my feet off the ice at all. Too scared!
Kids still asleep this morningEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Sounds like good news, I hope you are taking this more relaxed period to give yourself some 'me' time, you certainly deserve it.
Not really, still so much to catch up from the school holidays and there are other appointments and minor meetings at school...but mentally, it is giving me me time which is brilliant. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I love ice skating but sadly, there is nowhere around here that does it. We once went to a rink whilst on holiday, so funny, we paid to get in, paid for our 'shoes', put them on and headed to the rink....now ex hubby put one foot on the ice (well one toe really) and declined to go any further.
He then wanted us to go home but being the stubborn mare I am and having paid for it all, I wanted my monies worth, so spent the next 3 hours whizzing around the rink.We made it! I have done some fairly stupid things on a snowboard but I have never found ice-skating anything other than terrifying. The ice is so hard it just seems like a broken wrist or concussion waiting to happen.
I have a lot of things to do this weekend, none of them are compatible with the amount of pain in my back. It was so bad I went to the gp who helpfully said painkillers but i find after a day or so they make me fell pretty sick. My bupa usefully has no more money for treament till the end of JanuaryI think....0 -

Could you try the Alexander Technique to tide you over until you can get an appointment? I find that trying to follow its principles helps, even if I don't know the ins and outs. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'd never go to an osteopath - too pricey.
I'd go on the sick.0 -
is the back pain something to do with poor position when using the computer? Maybe using a laptop, rather than a full-size screen and keyboard? Chair where the seat angle can't be changed? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
