Nice People Thread Part 9 - and so it continues

If it's not at all precious, you might just try mending it yourself with Fimo.
Or even just black thread to hold the two pieces together. I couldn't quite see from the photo, but it looks like there are two interlocking rings that hold it together. One of those has broken, but there still seems to be enough left to wrap some thread round to make a new loop.
What it will look like at the end of that repair? Well that's another matter, but at least the thread can be removed easily, so you are back to square one.
I am so dexterous these days I can't file my own nails very well. The idea of trying to do fimo or superglue on teeny things is slightly daunting.
Otoh, I will dye my own eyelashes. This suggests some worrying question about my sense of priory over prising cheap plasticy earrings over my eyes (such as they are). Actually, I haven't died my eyelashes in recent weeks, since early summer......my newly fun occular roascea doesn't seem to appreciate it much. (Note, if I were dexterous it wouldn't really get in my eye to cause a problem I guess)0 -
I don't have many eyelashes. I'd never try dying them. I use a cheap mascara, but all that does is emphasise where there are gaps0

Mine are getting more sparse. Grey mascara is hard to find but much more flattering. Brown too, much better than black for fair people with sparse lashes.
I wear brown unless I'm wearing eyeliner etc.
Ok, I have to go.........
I really have to go, I had so much energy last night I need so e today...
On my marks......
Get settttttr

So that's another 40 mile round trip, to tell them that.
How annoying.
Don't be annoyed. The 40 mile round trips have to be made by them. It's their money and their choice to do it the hard way, despite your good advice. They can go and snap at someone else, not you now and you can have some peace.
You can choose now not to let it ruin your day any more than it has done.
It is DS's 13th birthday today. I am going to buy him a watch. I chose a nice one from swatch the other day but wanted to show H first. There was another brand called Ice which may be a bit cooler. Popswatch was all the rage when I was 13 but I'm worried I'm shopping for the 13 year old me. Is swatch cool again? The shop was pretty flash!
I just thought that I should look at Ice again. Just spotted the perfect watch in the perfect colour. Half price. I think there must be plenty of bargains out there for people who have orange as their favourite colour. I've never been a fan. Delivery tomorrow = impressive but too late
I've started proper shopping instead of internet shopping as an excuse to get me out of the house. I must not, however, compare prices to online!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

All quiet here, middle son had a talk with his music teacher about the missing work yesterday (which he did, handed in but then the school didn't submit with his other work)....but can't remember what the teacher said! Most frustrating and annoying as we still don't know what is going to happen and I don't want to keep hassling as it will fast become stalkerish :rotfl:
Apart from that, a pretty calm end to the first proper week back at school....middle son is loving 6th form, lots of scope for him to play/practice music, the freedom that comes with being in 6th form and the interesting work he is doing.
Yougest son is ok, mildly stroppy but so far (touching wood very firmly with every digit crossed), has not had a meltdown...so progress! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

From the photo it looks to me like the jump ring is still attached to the bottom half of the earring, so it's the loop on the top 'gem' that has broken...
LIR - the bottom, rectangular 'gem' - is it grey in colour? And the was/ is the metal silvery (I do find that Accessorize stuff has a tendancy to tarnish quite quickly) If so, I have the very same Accessorize earrings0 -

Sounds like good news, I hope you are taking this more relaxed period to give yourself some 'me' time, you certainly deserve it.I think....0 -
Exchanged contracts today having negotiated a price reduction following planning rejection. Will rent it out whilst persuing different planning options and hope that being long housing makes money all on its own....I think....0

Filing of nails *shudder*
that is something that goes right through me.,
I can't be in the same room as someone who files their nails...:oIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
