Aha! Another single female NPT. Perhaps we should introduce you to lemonjelly as well. (I am in a mischievous mood this evening. Don't take me too seriously! ;))

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

If I wasn't at work, I would have been digging the garden so maybe not.

Bit different to being in work though. Nice try :)

The farm to the south of us is cutting silage. Over night. They haven't land next to us, but are land locked from there own silage cut, so are trooping it down the road under my bedroom window. Still if that's pressure of traffic not much to complain about I suppose!

The amazing thing is, I just took the dogs out and there were two deer in the road too, obviously also put out by the disturbance. Never seen deer so close to the house and was childishly excited and beside myself with joy that my dogs behaved...especially as deer are usually good fun in the field ( I let them a deer are pretty safely smarter and faster than the wolfhound, and the grey likes the chase only)

Eventually all the dots in the world will join. We'll probably find it leaves us of a picture of jerry the mouse pummelling Tom the cat with a big hammer..

Thanks for taking it in the spirit in which it was meant. :)

If NDG's mother (or any of the NP) want to line me up a queue I'll be happy to meet them, as long as she's able and willing to bear the faith requirement in mind. :D

PS Apologies to any NP or lurkers who felt my original attempt at a jokey comment to Yorkie was too hetero-centric. I didn't think until afterwards. Perhaps I should go back to being boring and taking life seriously. :o

PPS lir, I love that whistling smiley - note to self: remember to use that one when it fits!

I don't think you've ever been boring so please don't start now :)

I expect lemonjelly either can't wait for his inaugural NP meet up, or is desperately trying to prepare his list of reasons why he is unable to attend!

Perhaps I should reassure him that if he comes to one that I'm at, I'll behave impeccably and make general conversation as though the ribbing on the thread hadn't happened. Wouldn't want him (or you) to think I was the kind of nuisance who would try to engineer getting him alone with you or any other possible candidate. I just think nice single people who'd like to remain nice but cease to be single could do with being given opportunities to get to know other nice single people. :)

    Dearest, you are NEVER boring.

I promise to behave well at all meetings too. Mainly because children are at all the meet ups I go to. :D

Obviously I've only met you at meetings where children in general (and mine in particular) were present. You are making me wonder what it would be like to socialise with you without them. ;)

I think its important to be genuine with children.

I just think its a case of 'the truth' rather than 'the whole truth'. I think the same goes for most circles one moves in....there is no need for your banker to know about your lingerie purveyor nor your casual lover to know about your podiatry issues.
