My debt busting diary!

Good morning!
Made another £52 on eBay this week - will go a little way to plugging the deficit - just need to post the last of the parcels today now the final buyers paid up.
Really really need to drag myself down to the gym tonight - things gave been so manic lately that I haven't been (or done any other exercise) in just over a week - so cross with myself.
Hit the £30 mark on onepoll - not much longer all being well!0 -
Friday at last!!! Been such a long busy week. Not much been happening on the debt busting front - just trying to spend as little as possible until payday in 11 days time.
Dropped the ins claim form for woofs fees off for the vet to complete. All being well should receive just over £100 back once excess has been taken into account. Fingers crossed on that one!
Picked the sun up yesterday for the morrisons voucher (again!) will pop at lunch and stock OH up on bacon and chicken - if I send him it'll turn v.expensive!
Best get dressed and walk the woofs - they're getting impatient!0 -
Countdown to payday!!!! 5 days to go :j
Once again nothing happening on the debt busting front - just desperately trying not to add to it!
Vet has been to see pony and is really pleased with his progress - fingers crossed he continues in this way. Hopefully that should also mean that the expensive vets bills slow down too!
Got sent another £10 voucher for Boden with 15% off and free p&p - no min spend, so that's another Christmas pressie sorted for one of the little ones I buy for. The transactions also tracked via TCB so as it works out I've been paid 32p to take the item off their hands lol :rotfl:
Need to have an eBay evening tomorrow - sorted a few bits and pieces to go on just haven't got round to listing yet.
If rumours are true it's the fruit and veg offer again in the sun. Will have to pick a copy up which will sort my salad and fruit for lunches next week.0 -
Well pay days been and gone and don't feel much better for it! Need to get my head where I am with the debt. I'm hoping (fingers crossed, touching wood etc etc) that things are beginning to settle down a wee bit now for us financially and I can get back on track with the whole debt busting malarkey!
I've made initial payments to the cards totalling £158. I'm hoping to add another £200 to this as the month progresses.
Got another pile of stuff waiting to be ebayed and also got a couple of bits of furniture etc that I'll try and get rid of via Facebook. Nothing major but will still help.
Still waiting to here if the insurance will cough up for woofs op - only works out at around £100 once excess has been accounted for but may aswell try and make use of it - that's what I pay the premium for after all.
Swagged another £5 amazon voucher - just waiting for it to come through. Will put this in the Christmas fund again. Got another Christmas pressie crossed off my list for free- cashed in £5 worth of boots points for a toy out of their sale. Really pleased with my Christmas stash so far, got some great quality pressies and they've literally cost next to nothing. Need to keep this momentum going - the less money spent on Christmas the more can go towards paying the debt!0 -
Morning!
Another £10 amazon swagged and creeping nearer to the £40 on onepoll. Not sure if I'll bother with onepoll again as it seems to take forever!
Have switched my tariff for gas and electricity - payments will remain the same but there's no payment being taken this month, so a little bit extra to play with this month - always useful.
Just trying to keep things ticking along until closer to pay day and then hopefully I'll be in more of a position to chuck a bit more at the cards.0 -
Grrr! So cross with myself. Had a few days away last week, ended up spending far too much (was budgeted for but still would have liked to spend less!) and then came home to a letter saying that one of my accounts had gone overdrawn before I went (pony feed account!) looks like fees are going to be around £50 for going £25 od :0( so annoyed at myself as I'm usually pretty on the ball with it but must have forgotten to transfer the money into the account in the first place (there's never much in there as I just use it for buying horsey supplies throughout the month - easier to keep track of what I'm spending on them!). Did think about ringing the bank and explaining I was away but have a feeling they'll try and sign me up for one of their fee paying accounts which includes a 'buffer' at a cost of £10 per month - no thank you!0

I've realised that I haven't done my monthly scores for a while- mainly because the debt hasn't been going in the direction I've wanted due to a catalog of unexpected, expensive events and my heads been stuck firmly in the sand over it all
Well time to face facts and get back on track doing something about it.
So here it goes as of the end of August this is the ugly truth......
Cc1 £2691.46 was £2784.96 (June)
Cc2 £358.52 was £111.95 (June)
Cc3 £800.42
Od £502.18 was £477.30 (June)
Next £0 was £48 (June)
Total August = £4352.58
Total June = £3422.21
Total increase = £930.37
Not pretty at all but given that our run of unexpected emergencies totalled over £3k I guess it could have been worse.
Anyways time to draw a line under it, stop dwelling on the last couple of months and start to do something about it!
So, in better news......
1. The OH has had a pay rise, should mean an extra £90ish per month
2. OHs supervisor hasn't processed his expenses claims for a few months - should be expecting £400+ in his next pay (I'm thinking of using this to get the emergency fund back on track)
3. Swags has been very kind lately and I'm waiting on £10 worth of vouchers . I'm also just £3.15 away from £40 payout on onepoll at long last.
4. Most importantly (touching wood) pony is doing well and vet is very happy and pleasantly surprised at his progress. He's such a strong willed little man :j
Aims for September.....
1. Pay at least 50% off cc2 (will be chargeable for interest starting this month)
2. Swag another £10 for Christmas pressies
3. Purchase 2 x Christmas pressies
4. Make £50 on eBay
5. Reach onepoll payout
Jobs for this week.....
1. Chase up woofs insurance claim
2. Redo budget taking into account OH payrise
3. eBay
4. Give my poor house a bit of attention and TLC
5. Clean and pressure wash the big lads stable so it's ready for winter
Right - feel so much better now I've got that all off my chest. Time to walk the woofs!
Have a good day0 -
Not a lot happening, but I'm conscious it's been almost a week since I checked in.
I've made a couple of small payments to cc2. Not sure I'm gonna hit the goal I've set myself but will give it my best try.
Swags have been going really well - another £10 gift card for the Christmas fund. I've ordered 2 more Xmas pressies - nearly £25 worth for the sum of £3.76!
Still need to get in the zone with eBay, will try and make time tomorrow.0 -

Well I'm officially broke until Friday  - ok I have about £1.80 in my purse and £4 something in my bank account, food in the house, all bills covered and fuel in both cars so could be worse!
It's seemed a long month and an expensive one too. Considering our holiday spends and £100 worth of house repairs have come out of this month, I shouldn't really be surprised the money ran out before the month!
No movement really debt wise this month much to my frustration. Seem to be stuck in a rut with it all. It's not helped by the fact that OH hasn't had his fuel payment in months so we've been forking out loads on his fuel  Need to get refocused as I'm refusing to still be in this position this time next year.
Anyway - in better news.....
1. I've chased up woofs claim and that should hopefully be here sometime this week - will be chucked straight at cc2
2. I'm desperate for jeans for winter - ordered 2 pairs from the next clearance sale total £27. When they arrived I've decided I wasn't 100% with them so they've gone back - previously I'd have hung on to then just in case!
3. Related to point 2, arrived back at work after returning jeans to find out I'd been given a £25 award - payable in gift vouchers. I've chosen next vouchers so I can go and pick out some jeans I am happy with.
4. Had an email to say I'd won a horsey supplement in a comp. I don't use the supplement and I don't really want to mess with their diets so will pop it on eBay when it arrives. Should get at least £15-£20 for it.
5. I'm 95p away from onepoll payout - again this will be chucked at cc2.
6. Another christmas pressie covered courtesy of swag$
Right best get motivated and walk the woofs (although ones gone back to bed and the others quite happy curled up on the settee next to me!)0
