  • The remaining two items sold for £36 last night, so a total of £117 towards paying off the vets bill :T

Still got £160 ish in TCB - getting impatient now, could really do with that becoming payable ASAP.

Have opened a paypal dispute for an online purchase. Ordered 2+ weeks ago but have received nothing from the company - not even an order confirmation, so was growing a wee bit concerned. Fingers crossed it gets sorted......
  • Paid the latest batch of vet bills - unfortunately on the cc for now, however hopefully that should be the last for a little while. Always knew it was going to get worse before it got better financially, however the pony is heading in the right direction and that's the main thing. Now I know roughly how much I'm looking at I can formulate some sort of plan to tackle it! Still hoping to have everything paid by April - just need to keep chipping away.

Expensive week next week as both cars are in the garage - hopefully have enough put by. If there is any left in the car account after they've been paid for I'll chuck it at the cc.

Desperately trying to reach the £40 payout on 1poll - sat at about £27 at the mo, so over half way. Just need to get in the habit of checking it daily. swag$ is also slow at the minute and sooooo frustrating as I keep getting kicked out of surveys grrrrrr!
  • Gonna be a spendy spendy week :( both cars are in the garage. Hopefully have enough money put by, so should be ok fingers crossed. Just transferred £100 eBay money to credit card, to make a wee bit of a dent in what was added last week.

Need to get ebaying this week - got a few bits sorted, just need to get listing!
  • Well car 1 been in, came in at £10 more than I'd budgeted- can't complain as it needed more work than expected. Car 2's turn tomorrow...

Managed to swag another £5 GC for the Xmas fund- my pressie stash is filling up quite nicely now.

Still need to get ebaying - been far too lazy!!!!

£63 left in the food account to seems through a fortnight - hopefully should be ok- gradually cutting the bill down, mainly through banning the OH from the supermarket lol!
  • Hmmm, first the bad news......
    1. Car 2 came in at £80 over budget, so have had to rob peter to pay Paul.
    2. Another £94 added to the cc for latest vet bill and meds.

    In better news....
    1. £71 has become payable in TCB - will cushion the overspend on car 2
    2. £18 has been refunded to my paypal account for an online order that never showed up.
    3. Had a marathon eBay listing session and have listed 20 items. No bids as yet but have a fair few watchers.

I'm back on my diet / exercise drive. Decided last week that I need to do something for "me" and invest a little time in myself. Selfish I know, but I really need something to focus on at the mo rather than sitting around feeling sorry for myself. Would like to lose at least a stone, preferably 1.5. Went for a 2.5 mile run yesterday morning and then to the gym after work. 900 calories burnt in total :T

    Aims for the week....
    1. Make it through the next 10 days to payday
    2. 2 x runs and 2 x gym
    3. Swag a £5 gc
    4. Take back control of my house!

Ouch on the bills but TCB can be a bit of a useful lifesaver sometimes, can't it? I hope the poorly pony is on the mend now.

Good luck on the goals. I'm inclined to think losing 1.5 stones is easier than earning a £5 swagbucks GC though!!
    0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

    AFD March 2/15 NSD March 2/11 :T

Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,005
  • He's getting there thanks mfmaybe. The vets really pleased with the improvement in him and he's back to his cheeky self, so fingers crossed he just needs time now.

Was back in the gym last night - can't believe how much better I feel for it and how much more energy I have. Was hoping to run before work but have to be in early, so will either run tonight if not to warm or pop in the gym again.

Got a couple of bids totalling £20 on the eBay stuff, so really pleased with that.

    Jobs for today.....
    1. Sort house insurance
    2. Gym or run
    3. Sort clean laundry as it's taking over the dining room lol!
  • This thread is such a great idea. I'm new but catching up and following how you do it. It reminds me of the LifeHacker savings diary / challenge.
  • Thanks for stopping by Candace!

Exercise / diet regime going ok. Went to the gym weds, ran yesterday and am off out for another in a mo. Official weigh in day will be Saturday so fingers crossed it pays off.

Money's not fantastic, still incredibly tight but only a week til pay day so should be able to juggle until then. Collecting lots of watchers on eBay but as yet not more bids, there's still a bit of time yet tho.
  • Another decent weekend on eBay with another £70ish made. Unfortunately this has had to be used to cover the breakdown cover renewal I'd forgotten all about

I've relisted all that didn't sell and a few other bits and already have a couple of bids and a good number of watchers so fingers crossed that continues.

Another minor household emergency has led to another unexpected plumbing bill. Not been invoiced yet but could really do without it since all my savings pots are back at zero!

Spent yesterday evening doing a quick blitz of the house - feel so much better for it.

On the diet / exercise front things aren't going too badly. First weigh in was a 4 lb loss although may have screwed that up over the weekend with too much junk food and wine. Exercise wise things are going well and more to the point I'm enjoying a little bit of me time. Managed 3 gym visits, ran 4 times covering 13.4 miles and a 15 mile bike ride. Feeling really good for it too.

    Jobs for today:
    1. Run
    2. Post last eBay parcel
    3. Don't spend anything!
