How little is it OK to wear when answering the door?

Personally, if the door goes and I'm anything other than fully dressed and ready to be seen I won't bother answering. Even more so if I'm still in bed, I can't understand why anyone would think it worth the panic of rushing around to get down to the door

For me, because I'm rural and cannot always drive. 'Losing' something to the sorting office or regional distribution centres can be a real pain.

Some of our deliveries are really big heavy deals.....feed deliveries for horses, not just sign for envelopes, or my (need signing for) medication. Other things might be things like baths, or heavy goods, that are just too unweildy for me and lose a whole saturday at the weekend if DH and I have to collect.

Alternatively it might be a client (we have a business at home) needing help or an emergency with livestock someone has seen, or someone passing by and in trouble.
