I worked as a market researcher going door to door and have interviewed several men who have answered their doors just wrapped in a towel - I always offered to return at a more convenient time but they've been happy to continue. I also interviewed a woman whilst she breast fed her newborn. As I was only paid when I got the right number of interviews if someone answered the door naked but willing to answer questions I would have averted my eyes and completed the survey!

You were perfectly adequately dressed IMO :)

Whilst breastfeeding I once answered the door with one boob fully out, the worst thing is I didn't realise til I got back in the house, I wondered why the postie was bright red and practically threw the parcel at me!
hahahaha not laughed so much for ages, thanks pukkamum :rotfl:

Hahaha - After seeing this picture all I can see are these poor, unsuspecting callers sitting up in the middle of the night and shouting - in a shocked voice - "Those women were in the nip!".

My hubby used to be a window cleaner years ago and he trotted up the ladder one day to find a couple in the act, they looked and seen him, had a quick giggle and carried on. Poor hubby nearly fell off his ladder lmao
  • I've often opened the door just in my dressing gown but no bother, am covered after all!

I usually answer the door to our female postie in my PJ's and I'm always blinking in the light. I think the one time I answered the door in my work uniform (I'd just come in from night shift and was having a cuppa before bed) she looked surprised :D

:rotfl: you have just reminded me, we were on holiday in a hot and sunny place, and wanted to go to church. We found the details in one of the touristy magazines, and it said that the service was held at such and such an address, at 6.30 pm. There was no phone no. and no email address, or if there was, we got no response.

So, we found the address, in a nearby apartment complex (not unusual for a non-catholic church in that country), and at 6.30 pm we rang the doorbell. A dog barked, and a chap came to the door wrapped in a towel. It was one of the church leaders, fresh from a shower. They had decided, for the first time EVER, not to hold a service that evening because many of the regulars were away.

We offered to go away and leave him in peace, but before we could do that another couple of visitors turned up. So the four of us stayed for coffee, with him in his towel.

To be fair....my postie made a note of remembering my first name :rotfl:

We've got a deal. I get up knackered, get my parcels. I'll take in the neighbours parcels because I am good like that. He doesn't care what I look like, I'm sure. Neither do I, the embarrassment leaves you after several sections..........

Although to be fair to society, I'm well manicured and I work out....he could see worse flashing. So we get on with exchanging post.

I'm just really surprised at how many of you will answer the door if you're in the shower/not dressed etc.

Personally, if the door goes and I'm anything other than fully dressed and ready to be seen I won't bother answering. Even more so if I'm still in bed, I can't understand why anyone would think it worth the panic of rushing around to get down to the door :o
