Depends on the Hotel Ai
Mine was so good , I never set foot outside for the first 12 days, my only expense was a daily paper
Not much point in going Ai and then eating /drinking (and paying ) outside of hotel
Day out , costing 70 Euros , how much do you spend on drinks and snacks for the girls in this country ??
Spain is now even hotter than the south of England , so you are going to be buying LOTS of water.0 -
The hotel serves international cuisine as does its sister hotel which we also have full use of. It has fantastic reviews for its food and u can also get food from the pool bar all day and u can help yourself to beer, wine and soft drinks all day everyday. Never been Ai before so not sure if that's the same in every hotel.Depends on the Hotel Ai

I know we will keep water in our room but probably wont be used for a lot as me and my husband don't drink a lot of tea/coffee and will probably be getting a lot of drinks for us and girls from the bar.0 -
Sorry , there has been a misunderstanding , yes you will get all drinks in the hotel , i was thinking more about your day out.

Bit worried about that statement , I only drink water ( along with everything else) when abroad , Spain is in the middle of a heat wave and if you have never been abroad , the temp ( and humidity) will shock you.
I took my young girls abroad for the first time before they had even started school . So I hope I am not 'teaching my granny ' etc when I say you WILL drink lots of water . Easiest way to convince youngsters to wear their hats , buy before you go , and parents set the good habits.
Go back to your room and stay there at lunch time ...... take a few toys.
A siesta is a great thing .

Three of us spent €80 in a week with no trips recently.
If you're a bunch of boring non-shoppers you could end up spending nothing!
Take a food and drink allowance of €15 each for the trip (hotel may offer pack lunch option) in addition to the €70.
€10 per family per week for bottled water if hotel don't provide it.
€25 each for the stuff you forget to pack (hats, sunglasses, beach towel, extra sun cream etc).
€5 per person per day for additional activities like pedlo, pool table etc.
€100 per week for pointless trinket shopping that people tend to do.
A family of 4 for a week: I think that adds up to €480. You could easily do it for €100 with all of that spent on the trip though.0 -
Sorry just meant we don't intend on making tea/coffee in our room or spending a lot of time up there so cant see us going through gallons and gallons. Me and my husband have been abroad lots but its our first with the girls, wanted to wait till they was a bit older.

We will obviously keep water in the hotel room for the girls and us if we want it and for brushing teeth etc. But am guessing the bar has bottles of water for the day time, we do drink a lot of water in the day around the pool but get it from the bar.
The girls are nearly 4 and 7 so are used to wearing hats, glasses and sun cream.
The day trip is being paid for by my in laws as they had some euros left from their holiday so not taking that into budget but have said 100euro for the day to round it off.
The hotel stop drinks at 12.
I agree with the afternoon room thing, me and my husband did this last year on our honeymoon.0 -

That's a bit tight, pool tables generally take 2 euros, most game machines are 1 to 2 euros, bowling is 5 euros, I'll bet a pedalo is more that 5 euros, banana boats etc are going to be 10 euros plus, I'm not saying do all these things everyday however, I'd say budget more than 5 euros.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
Why do people travel 100's of miles or indeed travel anywhere abroad then not leave the hotel? what's the point/? genuine query - when we go abroad we go to see the area, experience the people the culture...i could stay in a room here with a load of food and drink and not leave for a week???0

Its a complete break , doing nothing , being waited on hand and foot , lying by a pool , watching the world go by .After a stressful 50 weeks , time for a change.
Done the sightseeing for many many years , now i just want to 'chill' out.load of food and drink and
Who would cook , pour drinks . clear up ....... and can you really relax when you are near a phone/PC. I never take a phone with me on hols.0 -

Well I'm off to Salou in 3 weeks time to do just that, chill. After returning from a Haven hell hole last week, I'd rather sit by a pool and enjoy other activities abroad. Generally, when we go abroad we do the culture thing as well, however as we are only going for a week all I want to do is chill by and in the pool. By the way, the week in the Haven hell hole cost us the same as the All Inclusive holiday in Spain by the time we added eating, drinking and travel, add to that the usual English summer weather and perhaps that answers your question.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
