What Car would you buy
We are looking for a 2nd car for my wife to use about town and occasional trips on the motorway
Today - we looked at a Seat Mii, a Vauxhall Agila and a Kia Picanto - has anyone anything good or bad to report on any of these cars ?
Any alternatives - that we may have missed ?

My personal choice would be the Picanto for complete trouble free motoring, they're excellent. And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0 -
Same position as yourself , I bought a Fiesta for her. My only problem she insisted it was an automatic .0

The only thing with those cars is the throttle, it seems to be either 40mph or zero, which can be a bit tricky past schools.
On the plus side they have automatic RID's (revenge illumination devices) that flash the headlights at all overtaking drivers.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You probably already know this, but the Skoda Citigo, and the VW Up! are basically the same car as the Seat Mii:

On a cost basis (both purchase and running costs) you could also consider a Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107/Citroen C1. All basically the same car, which is fine for occasional motorway driving. Personally I'd rather have one of the sort of cars you were already considering though.0 -
I would recommend the VW Polo, I especially like the Mk 4 or the Mk 4 facelift (2002-2009)
Always feel like nice solid little cars without being tinny, or feeling like you are driving a wheeled toaster!!0 -
I'm considering a Kia Rio myself but do a fair bit of motorway driving, so your idea about the Picanto seems reasonable.:A0
