Once the set up files are transferred to the computer, and the installation begins, there will be a time posted in minutes. It's not too accurate. Give it an hour.
IE7 and WMP 11 are installed automatically.

Hey Donnie do you think it prudent to install a firewall first after setup and before surfing ;)

http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/ or are they behind a router?

I have Bit Defender, AVG, Spybot, Ad-Aware and CC Cleaner. I think that should be enough

Unless you mean the full version of Bit Defender Internet Security, none of those are firewalls.
Also AVG what? Two anti virus solutions?

    Don't be lazy, be concise.

I dont even know. I think it was BitDefender version 10.

What about Windows firewall? I had something else I really cant remember, a pop-up always came up when a hacker or something tried to gain access into my computer or if I was opening a program.

Whats the best firewall then? I had Avast which I quite liked but got rid of that and got AVG anti virus.

If you have Bit Defender version 10, you certainly don't need AVG Antivirus.

Did you actually read the PM?

I did, in my above post I was referring to what WAS on the computer before it messed up. Obviously, now I will have a few different programs protecting my computer, will check the CD out :money:

Windows Firewall is a start. If you are connecting via a modem and not a router, install the anti-virus program from the disc before you re-connect to the internet

The windows firewall is pretty useless so I would definately get a standalone firewall even if you do have a router http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
