Hiya everyone
I have been AWOL from the thread for a few days so just caught up.
So sorry to hear ppls bad news, sending love to all that need it!
I have been buying lots of xmas presents as there are so many things for my daughter that's in the sale so not much money making being done I am afraid! Just have £15 to add from my friend who has bought a bag load of things from me xx0 -
Had a nice long conversation with HSBC yesterday about my overdraft: essentially I received a letter saying they need me to pay off my £1100 overdraft this week (I got the email a couple of weeks ago) so I gave them a call. First lady says that it is fine, just a general letter but because the OD is in credit there will be no further action... I'm a bit overcautious when it comes to money so asked to her to double check which she then reassures me is all ok.
So I call the number on the letter rather than HSBC general line and they said that they were in fact withdrawing it. I explained that last year I had health issues etc and that this year so far I have paid back around £4k so things are on the up, but that like a sensible person I'm paying off the ones with highest interest.
Anyway long story short, the second lady was very helpful and they've agreed that I can pay back £100 a month (which is what I had started doing) and each month after this payment date they with lower my OD allowance by that amount.
So really it was just to say that it is definitely worth calling people and speaking to them, I must admit I had a massive panic when I got the letter and started trying to figure out where I could get the money from, but turns out they were fine and just wanted to know I could do it ok.
Also, sensibly I've looked at my two credit cards and my overdraft and rather than paying them all off equally, I'm paying the minimum (plus a fiver for paranoias sake!) off the 0% for 22 months one and then whacking up the payment on the other two - something I should have done to start with but for some reason in my head it was nicer to pay off the same to each one.
Anywho... I am basically on a major scrounge to try to get extra money saved up and am desperately running out of ideas.
I'm signed up to pretty much every survey site and going through them all, I check market research sites x 3 each day, FieldAgent, TextBroker, signed up to Fiverr and FiveSquids yesterday (although not holding much hope), done craft bits but had to stop as insurance was too high, checking voucher codes, eBayed/FB'd most of my posessions and made sure that all my direct debits are accounted for (need to change life insurance and save about £300 a year but that's the last one). And now I'm stuck.
I read somewhere about answering questions online but none of them are taking people, also about writing subtitles but have no idea where to look and google doesn't seem to like it.
If anyone has any ideas that I have missed, pleased feel free to let me know as I am on a real motivational low at the moment, which is a shame as I know deep down that I have improved so much since last year!
Sorry for the long post, I've checked here and the up your income board so many times in the hope I might hit a brainwave that I've missed!
Off to try to comp now.....
Love x
