That sounds nasty...
I really doubt your leg will fall off, but if its really itchy then try putting vaseline or clear nail polish on top. Since they cut off the air supply, they make it sting a lot less. Other than that I'd take an antihistamine and go to my gp/ a&e if it really swells up.

I need advice from all you lovely people.
Running alongside river in a wood with dogs and I had stopped (to tell one of them to come and sit etc) when I felt this pain near the top of my leg, it was excruciating like being stabbed, I reached round and brushed something (ewwwwwwww) off me. Anyway since then the pain is awful, the area round the sting is red and swollen but it is just so sore:( I have put afterbite on it and have washed it and disinfected it but the blinkin' pain will not go away. This happened about 2 hours ago now.
My question......what on earth would bite me through my joggers, need to be brushed off and would cause this much pain and discomfort instantly.? I have googled and think it might be a hornet????? Has anyone been bitten by one before?
Another question ....................when will it go awaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy:(:(
Last question............will my leg fall off????? :rotfl:0 -

Spendy day today for me. It was BIL's birthday party tonight, so got some wine & beer to take with me (not for me, I was designated driver). Since I went to Mr M in evening, some nice whoops bargains too, which I couldn't resist - bag of 8 bagels for 10p ... oh, and a bag of raspberry donuts for 10p too:pCandlewick wrote: »Jelly, your foccacia sounds very yummy.

Came out looking OK and tasted good (had some with lunch, and rest for tomorrow), but texture a bit dough-y; not sure, think I might have overprooved it. (I'm not an expert baker by any means.:o) But when I was in Mr M this evening I had a look at their focaccia, and their's looked a lot more dough-y than mine. I'm going to try making it again, though, maybe varying ingredient quantities/ratios.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Freeby, please go to the Dr's or A&E. I've heard nasty things that have happened through bites and stings. Please look after yourself and I hope the pain goes soon. :grouphug::grouphug:

Good Morning
Thank you all so much for your words of wisdom, the leg has finally stopped aching but it took until I went to bed last night with more paracetamols. I don't know what bit/stung me but i do know I never want to see one ever againIt seems a bit itchy this morning so the next bit is to try and keep my grubby paws off it
NSD #15 was captured yesterday :j
Jelly - looks good, too good to eat in fact. Is making bread tricky, you have inspired me
kerri - lol at your frosted lampshade. Thanks for the WD40 tip. I had read that but I didn't take them up on their advice.
fedup - Well done you, it is feet up and relax time
thriftymissy - You were right! My leg didn't fall off - who knew? :rotfl: and £172 on a hair cut????????:eek::eek: is all.:D
Have a super duper Sunday everyone. I am off to walk the dogs soon, I have borrowed Igor's suit of armour from his room. He is away, he won't mind:D Oh and top tip! Never go in Igor's room without a face mask and a fly swat. I dunno what he's left festering in there but I'm not eating it :eek:Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

I'm glad that it's getting better.Too bad about having to brave Igor's room. I think that he's still got some of last year's Festive Christmas sprouts curry stored in a chamber pot under his bed in case he gets peckish in the night!:rotfl::rotfl:He does love having a midnight feast from time to time....
Happy Sunday!0
