Just wondered if you'd had an allergic reaction to something you haven't been bitten by before? Doesn't really help with the pain, though - sorry:('It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

I need advice from all you lovely people.
Running alongside river in a wood with dogs and I had stopped (to tell one of them to come and sit etc) when I felt this pain near the top of my leg, it was excruciating like being stabbed, I reached round and brushed something (ewwwwwwww) off me. Anyway since then the pain is awful, the area round the sting is red and swollen but it is just so sore:( I have put afterbite on it and have washed it and disinfected it but the blinkin' pain will not go away. This happened about 2 hours ago now.
My question......what on earth would bite me through my joggers, need to be brushed off and would cause this much pain and discomfort instantly.? I have googled and think it might be a hornet????? Has anyone been bitten by one before?
Another question ....................when will it go awaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy:(:(
Last question............will my leg fall off????? :rotfl:
Hmmm, don't laugh but I've just googled treating hornet stings and apparently a quick spray of WD40 on the area is suggested - since it's not harmful I guess you have nothing to lose - and it might help your joints!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Evening All
Freeby has your leg dropped off yet :rotfl:?
Joking apart, sounds horrid and if the redness/soreness starts to spread I think I'd be contacting the doc ? Tip - draw pen mark round the redness to see if it extends past the pen line, also gives a timescale on spread.
CW sounds like you are in good control of your finances and being able to cut up some CC is defo a good move. Perhaps expecting to keep to budget with an annual outgoing might be a bit ambitious? Perhaps you could recoup over a couple of months if finances allow and then stick to reduced budget to save up for next years payment? (mind you as carpy budgeter of the year I wouldn't listen to my advice either:eek:)
Beanie - have you (and Spoony) run away somewhere, both appear to be missing in action?
If, I just lurved that one, thank you
Am supposed to be asleep as starting work at midnight but I can't relax
Today was another NSD and so was Friday so that's

Ok, the 15th was a BIG spend day for me, I was booked in for getting my hair done so I knew it would be, but then I had to spend another £49.95 due to phone problems aaaargh.
All in all I spent £1.80 on the train into town (I used up loose change for that- bet the conductor loved me!)
My haircut was £172 including tips, which I admit is a lot and it is a huge chunk of my budget but it is my big indulgence. In the past, I home coloured a lot, but it never turned out as well. If anyone has any tips then please let me knowI already get highlights instead of an all-over colour as it lasts a lot longer.

NSD #6 here today - not been out, builders not turned up for pond, jam not set and tray bake not up to standard (though OH seems to think it's ok) Hoping that jam will be ok to make into raspberry ripple ice cream and builders arrive tomorrow. Have sealed gaps in bathroom window today (bits letting water in the inside shutters, not the actual windows themselves :rotfl:) so day not a total disaster.
Oh, and dusted light above dining table...realised it wasn't frosted glass after all....just v.dusty :rotfl::eek:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
