I haven't been back to sleep yet  but my ironing is nearly done, stuff is sorted and waiting by the door to go to the CS, there's a clean load of washing on the airer, and I've watched a film and sorted my budget spreadsheet / banking out  that's what Friday nights are made for huh :rotfl:September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -

I need advice from all you lovely people.
Running alongside river in a wood with dogs and I had stopped (to tell one of them to come and sit etc) when I felt this pain near the top of my leg, it was excruciating like being stabbed, I reached round and brushed something (ewwwwwwww) off me. Anyway since then the pain is awful, the area round the sting is red and swollen but it is just so sore:( I have put afterbite on it and have washed it and disinfected it but the blinkin' pain will not go away. This happened about 2 hours ago now.
My question......what on earth would bite me through my joggers, need to be brushed off and would cause this much pain and discomfort instantly.? I have googled and think it might be a hornet????? Has anyone been bitten by one before?
Another question ....................when will it go awaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy:(:(
Last question............will my leg fall off????? :rotfl:Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Good Morning folks from a very wet NI:eek:
I had an unexpected NSD on Thursday, so am able to declare NSD10:)
No NSD for me yesterday, as I did a little shopping and definitely not one today, as I am going out later on. I am working for a while this morning though, so better get organised.
Freeby, you may have been bitten by an insect referred to as a Cleg (a very large fly!) as they are around grassy, water areas. Having had the misfortune to be bitten by one, I know that it hurts, normally swells up a bit and becomes inflamed! I hope it feels better soon and use antiseptic cream and maybe a plaster to help draw the infection out.
I hope everyone is well and has a good Saturday:)
Freeby and everyone else, thanks for the updates:T
If, I am laughing at your latest post and I am a man:T
Rising, I hope you get many more NSDs soon:)If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Thank you both :A
Red - definitely not a cleg bite, I have had a few bites from them and never had pain like this before. But thanks x x x
If - thanks for the link, I think that is the one I read which made me think I'd been stung rather than bitten ....... but by what??? I think a hornet because it is so sore
Afterbite, disinfected, shower, more afterbite, anti-histamine, two paracetemol and it is still really painful.......I am feeling very sorry for myself:(

Afternoon
Freeby, thanks for updating again- I hope you are painfree soon. Sorry I can't offer advice.
Jelly, your foccacia sounds very yummy.
Scuff, I have done that before, many times so I feel for you. At least you are ahead on the housework. May be you can spend the rest of the day relaxing?
I am staying in today, the weather forecast doesn't look too good and I could really do with catching up on some chores. My kitchen floor could do with a deep clean as could the bathroom. I also have washing and a small pile of ironing to do as I was super good last week and spent about 3 hours doing ironing so want to keep it down.
I am going to be having a NSD today which will bring me up to 7 and 4 in-a-row. In-a-row target met.
I was hoping for a NSD tomorrow but could really do with doing a small shop. I am out of eggs, fresh salad / vegetables so a visit to the farm shop is scheduled but will be a LSD instead. I have exactly £19.01 to play with before I overspend this month. I have been trying so hard to get my monthly spends down but I had a one off (annual) item I have paid for this month totalling £140  but it was cheaper to pay off in full in the long run.
All but one of my credit cards are paid off and two cut up this week and closed which was both satisfying and liberating in equal measure. I am still one month behind although have been graudally reducing each month so I have taken out a new 0% credit card to help me reduce my spends over a longer period of time. I hope this is the last time I do this otherwise I shall be gaining the reputation of a credit card t*rt
Have a good weekend everyone.

Hope the pain goes away soon freeby - can't help with what it might have been but sounds yucky.
I've lent DD £27 to buy a young persons railcard today - she's going to repay when she gets paid so not sure whether to count that as spending today or not....any thoughts?
And why is rail travel so expensive? She only gets the one-third discount before 10am Monday to Friday if the rail fare is over £12 (it's £12.20 for her regular journey so just makes it). I did look at the Scottish Youth Railcard which is free and also gives one-third discount...but the before 10am threshold is £16 so no use for DDs regular trip.
Oh well, rant over....and we did get a discount code for the railcard so got 10% off
I'll be back later when I decide if NSD or not today....
Happy Saturday - hope the weather clears upSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

MissE001, If that's your only spend today and you are being reimbursed, I would class that as a NSD.
Well done on the 10% discount!!
