No and no, Mrs E. :) It connects via a hdmi cable to the back of a TV.

And Anon1, It's a 6 month subscription to nowtv which is this: http://www.nowtv.com/movies

[typically, despite what Royal Mail said, mine still hasn't arrived as yet.]

Do if you have a TV with a sky box hooked up to your one HDMI port, then you can't have this?

Could someone confirm (or Not) you can get this, you dont have to sign up for any "Free" offers, you can use it straight from the box for the free stuff, & do you need Wif Fi? Thanks.

Yes you need wifi or it won't work. There's no ethernet cable space.

You have to have an account but you don't have to pay a thing, you just need a basic nowtv account and that enables you to watch 5ondemand, iplayer, use facebook and spotify etc.

Mrs E, you can get a splitter (not recommending the one in the link per-say, it was just the first that popped up on amazon. I haven't used a splitter so I don't know which the best), however if you have a sky hd box and on demand activated then you have the on demand things available already.

If you don't and you still want one, I would advise researching splitters.

Had it for 10 minutes and been playing. Very easy to set up, just applied it to my existing sky id and it already had the offer applied and waiting for me.

Remember if you want the nowtv offer, you must apply it BEFORE midnight 4th August.

This little box is better than I even thought it was.

    Size - http://i44.tinypic.com/fvyasz.jpg - That's a standard credit card on top.

Movies menu when you take offer up - http://i39.tinypic.com/xc7if5.jpg

Cinderella playing from the nowtv menu - http://i40.tinypic.com/9idy15.jpg

Will post more after when I've set my mums up. For a tenner (and £2.50 a month I think it's an absolute bargain! (ETA: not the best pictures, quick snap from my phone whilst I was playing)

ETA2: Have 2 working on the same account without a hitch. Does mean however, what one person downloads (I downloaded tunein radio) means the other persons box also gets the same program on it.

Couple of views of the channel store:

Very happy with the quality of the video too after a few minutes of watching cinderella.

You must have a spotify premium account to use it on here. it won't let me log in with a normal account. You can get a 30 day free trial though.

    Yes you can.

It doesn't care where it gets the internet connection from (so long as its in the UK).

Obviously your friend would have to have wifi available and a good internet connection.

    just received my box today.

I just want it to watch bbc Iplayer nothing else. I don't want to subcribe to Sky to watch movies or sport.

I can't seem to find a page where I can just open an account and watch BBC iPlayer. Every link I find takes me to a sports or movie package. Although they seem good deals I don't want them.

I just want the iPlayer without having to give my card details over.

    Is this possible?

You just need a SKY id that you can get for free on this page :

    http://help.sky.com/my-account/sky-id/create-a-sky-id

Click on the CREATE A SKY ID link. This will create a username and password you can use to sign into the NOWTV box.
