Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 4 tariff

Did a comparison and OLE saver 4 will save me £19 a year over OLE Saver 2 oh well not sure I'll bother switching over as currently trying to decrease both Gas and Electric Usage so savings will go down further.0

I WAS a scottish power customer, on standard rate. This new tariff came out just about the time SP must have received the paperwork about me moving to N power. I had a call to sell me the new tariff, which she told me wasnt on any comparison sites (which i pointed out to her was pretty poor marketing then). AS it happened the new tariff saved me exactly what the move to N Power would (what a coincidence). I asked her straight out if Scottish power would be ringing me to save me money if I wasnt moving to N Power, it went something like this;
ME- would you be ringing me now if I wasnt leaving?
SP - But you dont have to switch now, we can save you money
ME- would you be ringing me now if I wasnt leaving? If Iwasnt switching you would have left me on my old tariff, yes or no?
SP - But we can save you money
ME - Its a simple yes or no answer, would you be ringing me to offer this new tariff if i wasnt switching ?
SP - But we can save you money
She just didnt get or wouldnt acknowledge the point I was making.Smile. Its the second best thing you can do with your lips....0 -
I'm really impressed with scottish power, I've had no problems since I switched to them 2 years ago and every time I've had to phone them my call has always been answered quickly and the person I've spoken to has been helpful and friendly. So I phoned them up today and asked if they had a better tariff for me to go on. They took a few details and recommended the online PriceFall Dual Fuel plan, the rates are price capped until Nov 2008 but if the prices do fall in the mean time my rates will fall too, so best of both worlds
The advisor says I should save about £70 a year on my current plan, but she also said there is going to be another price drop on Friday so that should be a bit more over the year.
I'm happy that I get to stay with scottish power and should be a bit better off each year....if it hadn't been for this thread catching my eye I would never have thought to give them a ring so thanks everyone.0 -

Depends on your area I guess
OLE 4 prices here
http://www.scottishpower.co.uk/pricing_pdfs/ole/olesaver4.pdf
you'll have to compare those prices with OLE 2
For me (supply area 14 Midlands) OLE 4 is cheaper (also cheaper than B/Gas Click 3)
OLE 4 IS included in the comparison site recommended by Martin - so you can check for yourself.

Scot Power Volume 4 is fantastic for elec, you can get gas cheaper elsewhere though. You are only getting a £10 dual fuel discount. Consider taking just electric to them0

I've just phoned SP to change from the Premier Plus tariff to the Online Energy Saver 4 tariff, and it was done straightaway. Thanks to the original poster for this!0

I have just changed to online saver 4, according to cs, I will be better off. Whilst checking the price, I have noticed there is no standing charge. I guess, can always change back if not better off financially. Currently am paying £70.50 DD for a medium 3 beds, three of us.0

Remember that if you change supplier you maybe entitled to cashback if you use http://www.quidco.com/mobiles-utilities/energy-suppliers/
SP are actually still £5 more expensive for my area on here

In fact if you include the Tesco points then Powergen are the cheapest as the £7.39 approx off puts them above BG
The £35 cashback at Quidco for joining SP is tempting though, but then there is £50 if you join Powergen as a newbie
Clear those cookies and register if you decide to join.Always read the small print as cashback is not guaranteed0 -
