I got sidetracked by Russell Crowe in Robin Hood...but I've put the clean washing away in my room, put clean towels out in the bathroom, tidied up the mess the wii was in, started "to go upstairs" baskets for each of us and still haven't started that wash load as I went upstairs to check there weren't any more towels :o:rotfl:

I'm in the middle of dusting, but its slow going as I'm putting things away as I come across them. Must remember I have work at about 6pm...

    Personal :

    Sort work orders
    Clear ironing pile
    WM x2
DD - sort school papers out.

Flinging and Flying in the family room - living room

    15 minutes?

A tidy room LOOKS like a clean room so

    • plump cushions
    • chuck out old newspapers etc - recycle!
    • quick run round with Henry on suction duty
    30 minutes? as above plus-
    • wipe switches, sockets and sticky door marks
    • vacuum properly - move that furniture if you safely can
    • lift sofa and chair cushions and vacuum under them
    1hour? as above plus -
    • as above plus complete dusting - don't forget the skirting boards!
    • Clean the windows
    EXTRA SPECIAL
    • Sort out cards for November and December - because trying to find birthday cards (etc) when the shops are chock full of Christmas cards is NOT easy! Add them to your list. Put them in a MEMORABLE place - because we don't want them lost when you need them!
Right, off to do bookcase 2, there's less to rehome on there so shouldn't take me that long to whiz around the rest of the room. ;)

Would you mind sharing where you did this and how much it cost? I would like to do one for my childminding training. :) Thank you

I am also a childminder - that is why I was doing it (and why I am always doing paperwork!!) It was an online course, but I found it more comprehensive than the one I attended in person a few years ago! It was £12 + VAT (£14.40). Not sure if I can advertise it on here - but you are welcome to PM me :) It was recommended by other CM's on a FB site, but it is probably best to check with your LA before committing yourself, just to be on the safe side. It is a Level 2 course.

Shopping done :) I bought some scones & clotted cream :o My DD1 & I made strawberry jam on Friday, after taking the children to the fruit farm for some education on where food comes from :D Yummy strawberries, raspberries & cherries :)

Dusty, hope all goes well this week for you - thinking of you and your family x

Thanks and to Honey Bear for thinking of us.

Not actually on holiday this week, we have just been away to Norfolk for the weekend, funeral is on Friday.

Had a lovely time and the weather was good. DH is now back to the decorating in DS3's room, I'm going to tidy round and unpack whilst the Aga hopefully heats up a bit.

Valli thanks for stepping in this week

I don't think I've ever tried clotted cream but think I might just have to now. Your scone session sounds devine. On the cards in this house at the weekend I think ;)

Been cooking, washing and ironing and choosing not to look at the disaster area that is upstairs where my children have been while I have tidied downstairs. Sheeeesh!

I have piles and more piles of laundry and the met office website 'is having trouble finding Plymouth.'

It's blowy, sunny and hot and I want to shove more out there, but as I had to drag the dog towels in twice this morning, I don't want any more soggy washing hanging around in the kitchen as I had a the tail end of last week. And there will be three more beds to change tomorrow. *cries*

Nearly all floors done, just our bathroom left and then I can tidy everything away and start on the catering marathon. Fish pie, I think, tonight, and boozy nectarines to sweeten the chaps up.
    Better is good enough.

Nope, my DD is just as dopey at times! Thankfully she usually stays with family when she goes away so can always borrow stuff :rotfl: You'd think since she's been going away regularly her entire life she'd know what to pack, especially as I've been making her do her own packing for the past 3 years :rotfl:

Washed up, kitchen S&S, dusting finished, tea on. When I've eaten I'll go out to work, DD can vacuum while I'm out, then I'll iron. ;) Determined to clean this house by Thursday so I can have Sat/Sunday free this week :D
