I've sorted paperwork and thats it! I can't believe how much I was able to throw away and my shredding pile has increased again. I still have work paperwork to do but I'm just having a little break.

DD is sorting through her school work and I'm hoping she can at least half the pile. Especially when she goes through it a second time to properly sort it. She has loads of useless scrappy bits but I bet she'll end up keeping stuff she doesn't really need.

Time for me to make some lunch as I'm starting to get the sicky-hungry feeling. :o

Afternoon all. Still lurking.....today I've done the living room, kitchen and up the stairs. I had some washing out and most of it dried before we had a thunderstorm but at least I saw it coming and grabbed it all in!

Hope this week goes well for Dusty.

Dusted everything I can see in the LR
Filled the top of the coffee table with crap that needs sorting
    WM x 1
Hung washing on the line and then scrapped to get it off when we ad a heavy shower but most of it had dried
Nagged DD and DS who are now being good lol

Natty I am here:D Thank you valli

Hello to all my old friends and to new peeps too.:hello:

I feel I need to start afresh. Not even sure where to start in the living room as I have a mountain of paperwork on the dining table. But I will be trying to make a difference.

I had planned to get someone to taqke down all the living room curtains so I could wash them but as it is raining on and off I have decided to leave it for today. Once sofas are plumped up I intend on vacuuming the curtains as they are floor length and little dog leans on them.

I shifted a huge box of toys which was hogging the landing.. I am sick of falling over it so I moved it.. it was rather heavy!! I figured 2 minutes pain moving it or 20 seconds every time I walk past it.. it is so much easier getting to my room now!

Washing brought down.. I don't have a full load :D

I need to start on the girls packing for Wednesday.. which involves them pairing up thousands of socks until they have 5 pairs each :p .. then they need to find shoes for paddling.

I'm in as best I can, Valli; thanks for taking the reins while Dusty's away.:o I've done a general tidy-round; and Mr LW moved the furniture for a thorough vacuum over the weekend, so we're all ready for the two little princesses to arrive on Aug 19th.:D

I'm pleased to say that not only do I have an extensive stash of cards (I got a load at the Witches Market that was on recently) but I have all the ones we'll need up to next June, in order, with post-its on with the recipients' names.:D

I shall consult the Frog List in a bit - I hope to feel well enough to remove the Sassy nose-art from the patio door shortly.:o

Mumto5 belated WA congrats; and please give Poppy a cuddle for me.:o

Tarotangel hang in there, mate; every time the Drs d!ck around with my meds, I have trouble - they tried changing my anti-d's a while back and very nearly killed me - literally!! As regards contraceptives, after putting up with the dratted injections, which frankly didn't agree with me, after they said I couldn't have oral contra's any more (BP problems) I eventually demanded to be sterilised and have done with! If the ones you were on originally suited you, ask to go back on them.;)

OK, onwards and upwards - where's the white vinegar?;):D

Vanilla & Froddy - are you up? You were both going to make an early start! Froddy - perhaps I should ring you and get you up!:pJue

:p I wasn't up quite that early but I did get up about half 7 and I have done washing, cleaned the bathroom, washed up, been shopping, collected my Euros, been to the bank, started the 'packing' pile, checked in online and printed the boarding passes, spoken to Mum and finalised arrangements and got my clothes ready for the morning :D That's pretty good for me!!!

Going to update my list and consider a HHC .........

Froddy - I'll join you! I want to get this livingroom looking better before I start the ironing. DD is busy decorating a folder to put her school work in. At least she's quiet and not making that much mess ;)

    Personal :

    Sort work orders
    Clear ironing pile
    WM x2
DD - sort school papers out.

Flinging and Flying in the family room - living room

    15 minutes?

A tidy room LOOKS like a clean room so
    • empty waste bins
    • remove anything that belongs elsewhere to be rehomed
    • plump cushions
    • wipe over coaster/sticky, icky tables
    • chuck out old newspapers etc - recycle!
    • quick run round with Henry on suction duty
    30 minutes? as above plus-
    • wipe switches, sockets and sticky door marks
    • vacuum properly - move that furniture if you safely can
    • lift sofa and chair cushions and vacuum under them
    1hour? as above plus -
    • as above plus complete dusting - don't forget the skirting boards!
    • Clean the windows
    EXTRA SPECIAL
    • Sort out cards for November and December - because trying to find birthday cards (etc) when the shops are chock full of Christmas cards is NOT easy! Add them to your list. Put them in a MEMORABLE place - because we don't want them lost when you need them!
Going to put the wash load on I forgot about earlier then start putting stuff where it should be in the livingroom. ;)
