    Hi ladies

Can I join you? I have two voluntary jobs and one paid part time job. My husband doesnt see mess and is hopeless with domestic stuff. My two teenage sons should help more than they do - this is mostly my fault I am afraid. We also have a dog who leaves a trail of dog hairs everywhere he goes.

I am about to start a second part time job in September and I really need to get a grip on the housework. So I am going to need your help and this thread sounds great.

You have already inspired me to declutter, dust and hoover the living room, despite being at work all day and being really tired. Another busy day tomorrow but I will do what I can!

And I've had the sewing machine out and converted two halter neck tankinis to regular straps :T And they are even, plus changed the thread so invisible seams. Go me! :T just tried them on, and my measuring was right too, hurrah!

    I really should pack...

    EXTRAS
    • It's almost August so check your diary and see what birthday (etc) cards you might need for the month. Add them, and stamps if you need them, to your shopping list Need to get for DS1's birthday and a present yet. :o
    EXTRA SPECIAL
    • Sort out cards for November and December - because trying to find birthday cards (etc) when the shops are chock full of Christmas cards is NOT easy! Add them to your list. Put them in a MEMORABLE place - because we don't want them lost when you need them! 8 family members birthday from September so I shall add to list and get this week.
Still need to unload and reload dw, stick wm on, clean Ozzy's room, sort what I need to do tomorrow and do the online food shop.

After declaring last night how pleased I was that it was the LR today on the list, I was back to the paid stuff and didn't get a chance to do any of it.

But I have hoovered and swept through the house, walked the dogs, played the hokey cokey with the washing and caught up on a few phone calls.

DD meanwhile, now that she is back home full time, has spent the day re-organising her room, getting rid of stuff and having a good ol clean.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Hi to MOJT and Poohbear

Bathroom cleaned, all bar the sink as the floor is still wet.

Joined the MF3 get rid of 100 things in 10 day challenge (upto 25 already)

DS3 in bed reading (got him 6 cricket books from the library to encourage this, he is not keen on reading) so I need to go up in a minute and turn hislight out and I'll clean the sink and finish tidying my bedroom whilst I'm at it.

Want to finish upstairs tomorrow as that is more manageable and hopefully will spur me into action downstairs.

[STRIKE]wipe the microwave outside - put half a lemon, or some lemon juice in water inside, let it run for two minutes then leave the steam to soften gunk, wipe it out[/STRIKE]
    1hour? as above plus -
make sure every horizontal surface has had a wipe
    wipe the washer door seal

    EXTRA SPECIAL
Start that CHRISTMAS shopping - list all the non-perishables you want to buy (eg cranberry jelly; cocktail cherries for the snowballs - I am channelling the 70s - check today's music!) and EITHER buy one item a week/fortnight OR have the list to hand ready for if you see a bargain!
    OR
Plan for a day off sometime during the school hols or one weekend - so; check your meal plan and find ONE dish you can double up on - so that you can make two and freeze one! Check you have enough ingredients - this NEED NOT be done today - make it fit with your meal plan! This will be the meal you DON'T cook on your day off!

And finally - don't forget your frog list - EAT A WHOLE FROG today!

    *crack*

    enjoy the music
